Light your Stick! Dipstick & Engine Bay LED Light
When I bought my 2004 RX8 it was missing something important in the Engine Bay; a Light to see the Dipstick when I check the oil level (VERY FREQUENTLY!)
After a year of developing the LED light I have installed in my RX8 and want you to have an opportunity to have one too!
• Fuse protected for ultimate in Safety
• Temperature tested, extremely Durable
• Up to 45 Lumens of Bright light where you need it, when you need it
• Lights up Oil Filter area during oil changes
• STEALTH (GREAT for show cars)
• Easy to install takes only 15-20 minutes
• Water Resistant Coating
Included in the kit are instructions, an alcohol pad for cleaning area, and LED Dipstick Light with Switch.
The only tool needed is a Philips screwdriver, lights mount with self adhesive tape and work with years 2004 thru 2008
Send me an Email for custom applications as these can be modified for other vehicles, years, and locations too. It appears Mazda has completely relocated the oil filter and dipstick for 2009 + models, I am working on a light for 2009 + as we speak, that should have similar installation.
UPDATE!!Price reduced to $29.99 Shipped in the USA
UPDATE!! Shipping is FREE!! Within the USA, includes Delivery Confirmation. International buyers: Shipping only flat $7

Ok, from first to last, within the next day or so there will be more installed pics up so please keep checking. The initial prototypes had black and red wire, it was not as clean so my beta testers guided me to chose a more neutral color for the wires (thanks guys you know who you are ) The light sits under the AC Bracket, it is VERY stealth, you can't even tell it's there! The tape is good for one time, maybe two if installing carefully. The alcohol will clean any debris and dust for a good contact of the tape. Finally, the heat is not so bad, I have years of experience testing LED's in critical conditions and am confident in the longevity of this light. Thank You for your interest and keep checking back for more pics!

glad to see these finally coming out!
lebren has installed this light on my rx8 and i can vouch for him being a great guy and offering a great product =] no more anger from trying to stick the dipstick into that tiny little hole at night! the light is VERY bright and is in the perfect spot imo.
i will have pics of my install shortly and ill post them up here!
oh and quick question, where it says "38 for the first and 34 for additional lights", what exactly do you mean by additional lights?

Yes, additional units for second car, there are some out there with track and street cars. Lights can be ordered with longer cables for other parts of engine bay!
Longer cables are custom order, please contact me for a light with these installed.
Great news, I got some more pics!
View From Underneath
Routing the wire to Fuse Block
Continue routing under shroud
Plug into empty fuse Pin
Plenty of light = "no more anger from trying to stick the dipstick into that tiny little hole at night" (ROTF)

here are some daytime pics!
dont mind the dirtyness of my car, the pollen during this time of the year is unstoppable =[
couple of notes: the button for my dipstick light is a little visible, however, you can completely hide it if you just scoot it under the metal bracket a tiny bit more than i did. it doesnt bother me at all though, no one would EVER notice it unless i pointed it out. and also since mine was an early prototype, minor things were a bit different, such as the color of the wire (my wire is red, new one is grey).
ill get some night time pics later today when it gets darker!

alright here we go, night time shots in absolute darkness to test out the light in the worst conditions possible!
i checked the oil as well to verify that it lit up the hole properly and SUCCESS! i had no problems checking the oil and putting the dipstick back in the hole =]
here are the pics:
with light turned OFF
with light turned ON!
another angle with light OFF
then same angle with the light ON
i can see the hole! finally!
closer view of the dipstick hole and its surroundings with lebren's light on
another angle to show how much the leds light up the area around the dipstick
showing the led's from afar!
and the led's up close!
good to make sure theres no oil leaks as well...especially for those with aftermarket gauges like me!
over head view of the dipstick area
