There is a flange gasket on the rear connection of the stock cat. You will need to remove that (use a puddy knife or something similar as to not break it). The gasket with the RP kit is for the front connection. As for stuck bolts, WD40 or liquid wrench on them for a little bit should help. I did the install with minimal assistance required with the car only up on ramps.
As for a review... I love it. It's a little raspy when it's cold, but once it warms up, it sounds great. It's a little throatier at idle, and gets a bit louder at WOT, but nothing that's going to offend anyone, and there is no noticed drone in the cabin (mine is with stock exhaust).

I am extremely dissapointed, without the hanger the pipe clanks at idle, it sounds ricier than any Civic I have ever heard, and the drone is unbearable, I have to drive it at 2500 rpms and it still sounds like ***. Maybe if there were a hanger with it it would be ok, but there isn't, and there probably won't be any time soon.

How can a hanger be related to "sound that is ricier than any Civic" and any droning thats going on...?

when i first started up the car, it sounded kind of like how you described it, very loud. there was an exhaust leak. i forgot to put on the rear gasket, which comes off of your stock cat.

Just finished talking to Mary at RP. For the peeps that haven't received their supercats yet, she said the next batch is ready and should be going out next week. Woohoo can't wait!

installed my pipe this weekend, i do get a tiny little bit of clanging from something hitting, but it doesn't bother me much at all. i dont know about you guys, but with my sp2 it is freaking awesomely loud when i floor it, but when i'm cruising i can barely tell the difference. i love it, best money spent on the car so far!

How long do these cat last? The installer guy at the muffler shop I would not last too long before the cat melts and Check engine lights come on. Sorry if it's a repeat question.

hahahah i cant believe i was worried about it being too loud or too ricey.... i think i just spent 400 for the same noise as stock.... >_< oh well the 3 inch piping will help when i get FI or NOS. but anyway.. i am having a hotdog smelling problem and i HOPE its just the WD-40... can anyone say that what i hope is right?? and i was wondering.... mine is a 06 and i have to bring it in for a recall.... (i got the recall mail today... after i installed the supercat!!! =/ ) anyways would this be a problem??
