GB: SakeBomb Garage IGN-1A Ignition Coil Kit
So I finally got around to installing these- WOW what a difference ! Car runs WAY better now and i've noticed very steady acceleration power when driving.
My Idle is super steady now also. (It used to almost stall at stops).
Installation was pretty simple and Keith from SakeBomb Garage helped me with a question I had. I ended up routing the stock power wires on the top/side of the new coils- thats just what worked out the best for me.
The only issue I had was the new supplied plug wires are EXACTLY the right length, so they were a little tough getting snapped on.
Other than that this kit rocks man, I would buy again in a heartbeat !

In any case, I would suggest maybe contacting SakeBomb and letting them know! I am sure they will help you out! They were extremely helpful towards me!

I love the product too!!
^ Thanks for the kind words everyone. We've added a bit of extra slack to the plug wires for the run we just did.
To everyone that installed them, how close was the length? We installed them on the shop car and they were just right with a little extra slack, but I'm wondering if we lost a few mm someplace.
We've still got a handful of wires pre-made so if they work as is, but are close I'll offer a discount to people on kits with these... I think we've got 3 red and 4 black left. Anyone interested shoot us an email info@sakebombgarage.com
The new ones are now extended so if you order directly off the website you'll get the extended versions with a little slack.
Also for standard kits, if there's enough interest we can run another GB on them. We've got a group buy going on RX7Club as well. If we can get 25 people together (between both forums) we can source the coils for a bit cheaper and will pass on those savings for a big bulk order purchase to you lovely people. Interested rotary fanatics sound off! Post below! :D

I am interested however, I am looking to have coils relocated on rail where the air box sits. This means I will need longer leads for all the connections.
Unfortunately, I do not have the space for larger coils in the stock location due to the supercharger.

Complete Package - IGN-1A Ignition Upgrade Kit + UNIVERSAL Mount (FD3S RX-7) - SakeBomb Garage LLC
(just specify RX8 connection in the notes section for the harness and you're all set)
For the current plug wires, say $50 off the full kit and they ship the day you order? If anyone gets one that is legitimately TOO short to engage we'll send you a free replacement, but that doesn't really seem to be the case, they are just long enough but no extra slack. On the plus side these wires essentially last forever, though if you do have an issue we provide replacements whenever you need.

Ugh, bad timing. I'll definitely be ordering, but not until spring time. Any chance of another GB, should this one prove successful?

These things take awhile to gel though, we need to collect enough people, everyone across multiple forums needs to pay in, we have to wait for components to arrive, then assemble pack and ship. We try to not run GB's very often as they're a bit of a hassle, and it takes a long time to get everyone together. That said, it's kind of up to you guys and your friends in the community... if there's interest from you guys, we'll do it

If timing was better, I'd assist with the group buy. Unfortunately I'll have to wait. Hoping to see some good results until then!
shoot me an email if you run into any issues or have any install questions info@sakebombgarage.comThanks again Chris!

Best of luck, BigCajun. He said he needs 25 people. The first GB didn't hit 10. And, even if he gets the 25, he needs to order the components and build the kits. I'm just not a patient person.
