Got mine in and everything works! I love this mod.

One minor issue though: If you manually stop your sunroof in a position that is not fully opened or closed (ex half way) the buttons stop responding for about 30 seconds. Is this normal?

The reason I noticed this is that I something like my sunroof in the "big tilt" position (tilted farther open than the regular tilt by hitting slide then stopping it once its all the way up but hasn't started to move back though.

I can live with it but I just wanted to make sure it's an expected side effect.

edit: Close button seems to sometimes not work when the sunroof is open? If I re-hit open then close it works though. Most of the time it works fine but randomly it won't do anything.

Worth noting is that I had to pull off the wire tap and put it back on as it missed the orange wire the first time :-/ Since that means an extra gash in the red wire because of it, would that make the connection less stable?

Here's the deal with that. You need to wait about 4 seconds before pressing the button again. Every time you press it before that, it resets and adds another 4 seconds. Thats why it feels like 30 seconds. If you want to move it after stopping it half way, count to 4 first. The buttons should work fine after that.

Was the engine running while you had this problem?

people who are too stupid to figure out how to work a simple mod deserve to go around one handed.

Ok so yesterday I was going to try out that 4 second thing and something else decided to happen :-/

Opened the sunroof, drove like 10 mins, hit the close and it didn't auto-close (just the normal few inches). Hit it again, same thing. Hit it a third time and none of the controls worked anymore :-/

Happens I blew the 7.5A fuse that this is hooked up to. I took the mod out for now to make sure it didn't blow again, and I wanted to check with you as to possible cause. Should I put it back in? Should I upgrade that fuse?

Sidenote: anyone else find it odd that the same fuse is used for sunroof controls, seatwarmers and HVAC but the maplights are on a diff fuse?

had this thing in for like a week but only driven my car twice this month. I almost forgot it was in there till I went to close the sunroof this morning.

LOVE this thing! So much in fact that I thought it needed its own thread for those of us who have already installed it. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/rotaryrasps-sunroof-switch-mod-installed-143974/

Too late??

I hope that I am not too late to buy one of these modules. Looks like an easy DIY and the convenience is worth the price. I have signed the waiver and am ready to email it to you with my Paypal payment if you are still open for business.

Osama stamp
If you draw a target over his face or something to deform his complexion I think it will get through customs faster.

The reason they gave them so cheap was they were not completed yet.
