URrrrggggg!!!!! DAMN!!!!

Ok you sent the red lights didn't tell me they were reds. I set them up to running lights which are suppose to be the blues!!!

The old red ones are broken. I will send that back however you didn't send the blues which have also shorted out!!!

Now I have my reds connected which took me 1/2 or so to fiddle the wires in to only find out that they are not the blues.

Please send the blues with 2 attached on one wire like my drawing... I bought 2sets from you and your suppose to replace the 2. I will leave the reds as my running lights for now till I get the blues and switch them then.

WHAT A WAIST OF TIME!!

I'm not mad at you however if you read my post would have understood that I needed the reds and blues. Plus you never stated which color you sent so I assumed it was the blues...

Not even sure if these will work as my footwells. Send the blues and if it doesn't fit across I will send these back.

Make the blues one on each side of my driver seat and passenger seat with 2 attached.

I'm sooooo confused. The picture you posted is of the red leds. I figured that is what you needed.

The pic I posted is on my red seats... However you can't tell the color of the lights.

Anyways I still need these ones to replace the broke reds. So that problem is fixed. The single wire should work fine for my footwells. (When I get the blues and switch the new one's from running to footwells I'll let you know then if it works)

Check PM I explained the rest there.

To the untrained eye, all the leds look the same when off. I can tell red from blue even when they are not on. That's how I new the ones you posted were red. They don't call me an led expert for no reason.

I might need you to send back the blue before I ship you the replacements. I'm pretty sure I'm all out of blue but I will check.

I use the blues as running lights so make sure that if that is done that nothing is going to blow up in my car like my stereo fuse blowing when the first ones broke.

So the blue leds will run to my running lights like before. The difference is that there are 2 on one wire. One for the front of my seat and the other will go under my seat to attach to the back so the wire should be as long as our seats...
Here is the msg about the blues.

I know you'll send them back, I'm not worried about that. I've already sent you one replacement set on good faith, but I can't you send something I don't have. I'll look later and double check though.

I've been pretty good about helping you get this fixed, more so than many of the vendors I've bought from on this forum in the past. I have to make each one of these by hand and I assure you, it's just as much of a pain in the *** for me as it is for you. I'm sorry that your having issues and I promise to do what I can to rectify the problem.

You said yourself that you did not state the color that you needed and just assumed that it was implied you needed blue, even though the picture you posted was red. I'm sorry and I will fix this issue for you, but can you honestly hold me liable for the mistake?

btw- I'm sure you did not realize that I could tell the color from the picture.

Msg above shows that I asked for the blues and not reds... in pm I told you about the broken reds and shorting out blues and needed both replaced.

Ok so what now... I'm not sending the blues back because they are still hooked up and I'm following my directions.

How long will I have to wait till you get more... that's another thing... If I disconnect them and you send them months down the line I will forget how I did it all so.... what shall we do?

BTW the blues are also broken. One of them. The one that was shorting out...it would flash on and off and drove me nuts...

I do not think the problem is the strip "shorting out" as you stated. I had the same problem on the initial installation. The problem was actually due to the provided wire splicer because it ended up cutting off the end of the wire (connected to the LED strip) instead of splicing it and therefore had a poor to non-existent connection. This kind...

I ended up going to Radio Shack and buying a different style of wire splicer...the same kind I used on my Fog light re-wire.

This style suited my needs better and also gives me the option to disconnect and reconnect them much easier.

Good Luck...

PS...how the heck did you break these? And more than once? They are located in such an obscure place I just don't know how it is possible!

Those are much better, but if you can, make sure yo get the red ones. The blues (in your pic) are for larger wire and may not completely cut through the wire isolation.

Just installed mine through dome light operation, looks good but have to wait until I see them in the dark to get the full effect. Instructions were very easy to follow RR, thanks.

Tip to anyone that is going to install these.... do not do it in cold weather. The adhesive doesn't stick and the zip ties actually snapped on me

EDIT: Are the LEDs supposed to flicker while dimming?

flicker? maybe a little due to the fact that they aren't really lights. I didn't notice it at all and you'd be the first to mention it. Is it really obvious, or just a little?

I figured it was probably because they are leds and not traditional bulbs. But no, it is not obvious at all, I just happen to notice it while turning them on and off over and over again lol

Had compliments on them already from people. They are pretty bright at night, two thumbs up rasp.

This is probably a dumb question, but oh well, I'll ask anyway. Anyone have any idea how long these LED lights usually last? I'm interested in hooking mine up to the parking lights and installing a manual switch.
