Lights arrived today. I'm actually impressed with the construction. They are a lot heavier than I thought. I'll let you know how the install goes.

Thanks shaz!!!

Left (white) is the original DeWankle Puddles

Center and Right are blue and red shazbot puddles. (Interior lighting not included, but does look damn sexy.)

Many thanks to Laythor for the assist on the install.

Paired with interior lighting they look pretty darn nice.

I was told I was treading a fine line between nice and rice, but hey, they're only on when I unlock the door.

I love it though, walk towards the car, hit the keyfob. Bam. bluuuuuuuuuueee

It's only rice if they're on all the time. Leo's(middle) and mine(right) both have footwell lights as well.

I think it's really on the eye of the beholder. Some may despise it, others love it.

The funny thing is, some of the more expensive cars have puddle lights so would they consider those Lexus and Benz as "riced out" cars because they have the same concept of our puddle lights also? Also, the general term "riced" for cars are mainly from the more less expensive cars that have random bolt ons and put lights on their cars because they don't have the current funds for a better car and/or mods that make the car more appealing.

For me, as long as it's my car and I love how it looks, they can go themselves because at the end of the day, you're the one who owns the car and drives it.

Hey Shazbot28-- Just received my lights today. AWESOME. Two days from CA to VA. Just got to wait for a little warmer weather before tearing the mirrors apart. I read through possible breakage points of "popping the mirrors from the ball clips" in past posts. Will have to wait from sometime warmer than the low 40's outside the DC area.

Cheers, tblink

tblink. take off the mirror mirror housing and work on them in the house.
