This will be my last post on this thread nor will I return to read any further, I will post the results of the winner of the raffle on a new thread...

Carlos, Selfish Self Serving actions? How are my words selfish and self-serving? How do I benefit from posting about your negative attitutde with the people that have trusted you? You really think that many people want your PODS? That you're the ONLY one in the universe to get these?

People can make up their own opinions of you Cortc. They do not need my words... they can simply read your's. See, the differences between you and the rest of the members on this board are...

1) We love the rotary community, we help each other, support each other. Are we to just sit here and read that you've wasted people's time (3+ months) with no excuse, then try to turn it around and make yourself the good guy in this? How are you helping the community by wasting everyone's time?

Have you really been reading this thread? Are we reading the same thing? Never have I ever said anything that was "fabricated." Merely summarizing the detailed points that you've done. If you want to clarify it... be my guest. If you think I'm BSing the members of the board by implying things about you that isn't true, then correct me. Please Cortc, Correct anything that I've said that was "fabricated."

1) You took a 2-3 month hiatus after you claimed that you were planning to ship out the pods.. (Date 3/31). Then later you posted some more pix of the supposed 12 pods that were going to be shipped out... then you disappeared. TRUE OR FALSE?

2) You return (Date 5/25) and say that you were waiting on the rest of the Pods to be ready to be shipped... uhmm what happened to the first 12 pods that were supposed to be shipped PRE 3/31? Why did people have to wait? Best of the batch right? Reference (POST #370)

3) POST #404. You said you didn't know of any deadlines? Was that your excuse for not shipping the items stated originally on 3/31? So this was your excuse here why they weren't shipped out?

(Note: There were no deadlines like you said. But the thing is... you said "Hey guys I'm shipping it out this friday, it will get to you next week friday." When it doesn't happen.. you bitch at the people and say that "There was no deadline." That is the problem here cortc. Why even mention that you plan to ship anything out?)

4) Raffle was suppose to happen on June 2nd for those that entered their names. I noticed that you said some circumstances that prevented that from happening, etc etc... it's June 6 now. How long do you really think it takes to pick a name randomly out of a "pod" and find the winner? 10 minutes? An Hour? Heck, let's say you're a really busy guy... 48 hours? Let's just assume that you were extremely busy saving the world and it's taken up your time for the last few days. So my question is, when do you really plan to fulfill the near false hopes of this raffle? Heck, I just finished doing 4 raffles just now typing this thread, cooking dinner, and managing my Quickbook account for today's invoices. Come on now Cortc, you can do it.. I believe in you.

Tell you guys what to shut Carlos up once and for all and for me to completely MMOB, you can all call Detective Ronosso for yourselves (no offense to the other members but I'm really fed up with the lies from Carlos) and tell him that you have received your items. Since Carlos seems to think that the case was closed.

You finally called him back the same night and oh just by chance you happen to post the very next day after the detective told you to contact us, telling us that the pods were going out and that we were being too suspicious? Yeah ok buddy, anyways that's the real story now that everything is out in the open. Your a lier and should never be allowed to conduct business on this forum again, you cannot be trusted and I'm not the only one who feels this way. Almost every member who paid for a pod feels the same way.

Ok Carlos, since you claim that you lost $450 on this project, (Even though you decided to raffle one of the supposed Silver PODs, makes no sense right?), The two deaths that happened, the 'CEO' that got fired, other random excuses for all the delays, etc etc... if you can provide some sort of paperwork to the rest of the members here about all these delays, I'll write you a check for $450 to cover that loss. How about that? I'm serious Carlos. To make it worth your time, I'll write a check for $1000 for your "time" since it seems your time is so valuable/limited, and when you are done getting all the paperwork ready. Scan those receipts, show us some paperwork.

Well, Cortc is no longer accepting private messages, so I am posting here. I have one of the last four Pods to be shipped. I have a tracking number from Carlos and the package was accepted at the Pompano Beach post office yesterday at 1:56 PM. To say I am relieved is an understatement.

I am grateful to those who helped push this forward (especially Devious12, and Detectiver Ronosso) - and honestly, to CortC for his work to create, test, and have the Pods manufactured.

What was not handled well was when Carlos literally dropped out of sight for 2 months after posting a pic of the 12 pods with the boxes they were to be shipped in, and sending all of us a request to confirm our shipping addresses. That sure made me think that shipment would be as he stated - within the next day or so. I for one had no idea that he still had (extensive?) finish work to do on them. I appreciate that he cared enough to give us all a truly quality product and followed through on the finish work and I am very anxious to finally receive my pod - I hope by the end of the week - in time for a local club meet.

I am truly sorry for the personal family losses (illness and deaths) that Carlos had to deal with during this time - and also apparently a big shake-up at work. But I think any reasonable person who had the faith and money of several people pending in a very public forum would have taken at least five or ten minutes once or twice a week to let us know what was going on.

So much (!!!) could have been avoided if he simply would have kept in contact.

Onward and upward - I hope all the Group Buy members enjoy their pods, and I wish Carlos a happier year for the rest of 2005, without the terrible family/work upheavals of the recent past.

A Trully honest and diligent man wouldn't have just left and run off. If I did nothing wrong, I would simply explain myself. I wouldn't just start attacking the people. If he felt some of the members of the board was saying negative untrue things about him, he could have simply made us look like fools. Instead he continued on making himself look like the victim, and tried to put the blame on the ones that helped push this POD Group buy forward. Makes no sense right?

It doesn't take a PHd to figure out that he did finish this Group Buy... but at his own time.

Riccio's more polite way of stating what I've been reiterating is above this post... Ya I could have been more cordual about all this, but why beat around the bush, just go straight forward, enough time has been wasted.

How long does it take USPS to get the shipment info their system? My confirmation # still isn't pulling anything up.

And Devious, once I have pod in hand you can be sure I'll let you know.. unless you were serious about us needing to contact the Detective personally. Which is it?

Tracking #'s usually take 18-24 hours before it's registered. If it was shipped today, expect it to be in the computers tomorrow morning.

Oh, I'm fully aware of the time taken to get into the system. That's why I'm wondering, since it was shipped Monday morning. It will be annoying if they don't update until it has already been delivered.... at which point the tracking # is useless.

The tracking number is useless, not saying it isn't legit, but USPS doesn't update their site fast enough. Carlos sent my tracking to me and the pod arrive in two days, I have to say it was very quick shipping after it was finally sent.


And if everyone would like to just send me the confirmation who hasn't once they receive the pods I will forward the emails to the Dectective. I just wanted everyone to see that I wasn't just making this stuff up. Pretty good imagination if I did though, here's the detective's email below:

"Brian,
I got your message this morning. Glad you got the part. I was getting a little worried that he would not send anything, but sometimes these things have a way of working out when you apply just the right kind of persuasion.
Yes, please compile the list you were explaining, in that way when I prepare the final report I can include the list.

I've been on an ambulance for 48 hours and missed quite a bit. It seems everyone is getting/has gotten their pod covers and I'm very glad for this. I think we all need to accept the fact that Carlos isn't going to be rational about this whole situation, raffle or no raffle. Whatever... There are people like that in this world. Good life lesson to be learned........ I guess
