I'm done with this thread, it's obvious some people just don't get it...

By your own definition, he is selling parts to make money. By that definition, he generates income, thus the government considers him a for profit business.

The force is weak with this one.

Had you bothered to check, you'd find I have one of the best reputations in north america for rotary engine builds, more so than many "professional, high end" shops. I often sell parts to some of the larger engine building shops as well.

Open mouth, insert foot. Next?
I don't know, you seem like someone with an inflated ego more than like a good engine builder.....

what would the rotary community do without you

floppin, what's your problem? RR has been doing engine rebuilds for many years. You can google him on the various forums. No one complains about his work.

Would I still be around after 9 years in the game if I wasn't good at what I do? I am not egotistical in person, but when people want to talk **** online or compare e-penises I am always up for the challenge.

Make no mistake, they would still get along, albeit at added expense. But I know several hundred people who would be out a few hundred or thousand extra each for jobs I have performed in the past, and several hundred rx7s would either be in the junkyard or v8 swapped because their owners couldn't foot the bill for a rotary rebuild at a big name shop or was too frustrated to work on it themselves and had no local help.

Sure looks it to me. Caution noted, and appreciated.

Completely agree. But why so diplomatic?

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY is wrong for agreeing on a price then not sticking to his word. From the other posts about G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY in this section it sounds like he's busting his *** to get things done right. Hopefully deals like this one w/RR will not keep happening, as it's not a good way to do business.

It's ok, my mind read right over it w/o seeing the error, and I had to re-read it. You know, that whoel transpesod lettres thing? Didn't matter, as I completely agreeded with you anyway.

I concur. It's just that, like any industry, we always hear a ton more noise about the bad stuff. Sensationalized crapola. Ya dig?

Copy & paste is your friend.

Patrick - you seem like a good guy. Take the information however you want, but realize there is only one way that will keep the 8 community behind you - which it definitely seems to be. **** happens. When it does we have a choice - and the best bet is to correct what we can and move on. Doing so usually makes issues like this "water under the bridge", as it were.

I dont know about everybody else, but if I were him I am not sure I would be looking to earn a position on the **** list of the owners of both RR and BHR. Talk about shitting where you eat...

Well, I can understand where you are coming from however..
1. He is not a "Business" man, he is a guy who occasionally parts out cars on the side.
2. Your a business owner right? So you can always get parts you need, apparently this individual needs the stuff more than you do. Your not buying it to fix your own vehicle.
3. If you where offered more money for something you still had in your posession with no payment made on it wouldnt you want to take the offer for more money?

Just my 2 cents.. Gr3ddy has ALWAYS been fair to me. He always gives me a good deal, has always held onto parts until I could pay him for them and has even let me take parts I needed and pay him later when I was able to. He has been holding a few things for me right now actually, including a starter Im sure he could have sold by now, that he has been holding for at least 2 months if not more. He also overnighted an alternator to me at his cost when I was in a pinch. I also think its unfair all his GG threads got removed so people who dont know him coulld at least make a comparison before judging.

apparently the forum considers him to be a business since they won't allow posting any more FS ads here without a vendor agreement

he had a PM tiff recently with me too ok maybe that's not so unusual in my case

however, I don't have anything negative to say about the guy, he's always tried to help me out but we just never connected

Pink: RR rebuilds engines out of his garage for a profit
Gr3ddy sells (LOTS) of parts out of his garage / basement for a profit.

They might not own businesses, but they are conducting business. Why is this so hard for some to comprehend?

This thread tells me more about other members than G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY

A DEAL IS A DEAL

IF YOU MAKE A DEAL WITH SOMEONE THEN HONOR IT

Having said that, IF G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY, stated if he can find someone willing to pay more money he would sell to them and not RR AND RR accepts the terms then it is OK. But that does not appear to have been part of the deal agreed upon between the two.

the flipside, how do you feel when somebody agree's to buy something and then backs out?

Isn't that a "deal" too?

If so, then I could post Bad Guy threads on at least 20 members ...

Ok but you dont have to be a vendor to have a GG thread so why is it fair that it got deleted? Im most certainly not a vendor and there have been 2 GG threads about me. I have been to PAtricks house and he buy no means has a set up or the profits to be at a vendor status IMO... Has anyone cleary told him what vendor fees he would have to pay?
Like I said, I can understand where the op is coming from. At the same time, comparing it to an ebay transaction, a seller on ebay can choose to cancel there auction at any time. Businesses give rain checks etc...

WTF is with this guy? ^

GM makes great trucks, they have always made dogshit quality cars with exception to the corvette and some cadillacs which are specially engineered. Not putting off on your car, but go somewhere else to brag about it (or complain, after a few issues crop up).

Absolutely. A deal is a deal. Backing out from either side is weak.

Is that part of the terms when you agree to buy something on eBay? If so then it is part of the agreed upon deal.
