Good Guy: Rx8 performance
Had a great experience from Scott with his cooling fan mod. First off, the part worked as described, was easy to install, and looks good. I let the car run for 35 minutes tonight and it never broke 190.
I was very pleased with his communication during the ordering process. He replied quickly to every email I sent, and initiated communication several times to ensure I got the product and didn't have any issues with it. The impression that I got was that he is very eager to provide good service now. As was mentioned in the other thread, we all have to consider who we buy parts from, and based on this experience, and some of the unique parts he sells, I would use his store in the future.

I just bought an oil pan from scott, I actually drove down to his shop and bought it in person because I needed it right then and there. I also wanted to see it for myself due to the good/bad reputation he has on here. I ended up leaving my debt card on his desk and he called me back 5 minutes after I left before I could get out of Tampa. Went back to the shop and he was busy welding something so I got it and yelled thanks to him. He was very friendly, showed me around the shop, and seemed very happy for any business. In my own opinion he seems like a man who has been humbled by the past.
Now as far as the oil pan goes, the quality seems solid. The welds looked very good, the pan it self was thick, and it holds a lot more than the stock pan. The fit was very good, 4 of the screws are a pain to install do to the design but the design is what allows the extra oil capacity without adding much size. I also like that the drain plug is toward the back rather than on the side. It's hard to see how much it has improved my temps considering how well my cooling system is anyways but it seems like 5 degrees cooler on a 82 degree day with the ac on in mild city traffic. Today was the first day I drove with it installed, I'll report any issues if I run into any.
Overall I had a good experience with scott. It isn't like he is the first vendor or ex vendor on here that has seen their share of good guy/bad guy threads. Hopefully we will only hear positive things from here on out unlike some other ex vendors on here.

Had a great experience with Scott as well. He even explained his past situation like an adult just for my own piece of mind. Great guy. I will continue to do business with.

As I posted elsewhere I received 2 oil cooling fan kits and after a quick call decided on 1 of three ways to wire it up. He does have some unique items for the 8 and some new ones on the way I hear.
