Well since you obviously paid alot of money for services that you never really received, I think it would be smart of you to get something legal going. The least they could do would be to actually give you what you paid for.

I feel for you. You're boned unless you can get a lawyer friend to pick you up in your spare time. Just like fighting a ticket - the legal fees that you'll pay will outweigh what money you've lost.

I'd think that the last thing that Pettit wanted at this point with the Supercharger so far along and with all the hype as of late is a bad rep.

I would have paid for this with a credit card. And if that was the case for you, I would have just said: "You have 30 days to rectify the situation before I file a fraud charge on my card. Complete with pictures and past chat logs." Usually works pretty quickly. Less than 30 days

Ive been watching this thread for weeks now, and as far as I can see Petit has no intention of getting things right with mysql101...
I was ready to do some serious buisness with Petit, but now I think Ill take the drive to Mazsport and get it done right the first time.

Like someone else said, I dont think ANYONE should do buisness with them untill this situation is fixed.

staticlag, I paid in cash, unfortunately.

SoFL, at this point in time, I think you are right. It's been 4 months and no action made. Just "We're looking into it" type replies. Consider what Pettit is holding out for amounts to ~$300. What exactly is there to look into?

I would say caveat emptor if dealing with Pettit.

^yeah that makes me question them.

i mean i dont want to go and void my stuff then get no support if things go wrong for no reason. i really hope that situation get cleared up really soon or i think you guys might miss out on some business, just be cause of that one problem.

you guys have a really nice sounding kit comming out and im really debating on which kit to go with. yours seemed to be the front runner but now im kinda hesitant.

im sorry you had such a negative experience with them. this could have a large negative effect on there up comming SC kits if they dont make an effort to really fix this.

i think you did the right thing waiting till it was clear they werent going to fix it, and hopefully by letting other know what you went through they will get more pressure to rectify this and some future customers will be warned for the future.

thanks for posting this because i was really looking at their SC kit and now im gonna have to wait and be more look in to them more

Maybe I'm clueless but how is it that a professional tuning shop doesn't know how to run a dyno?

It wasn't working for whatever reason. The dyno was restarted a half dozen times before they gave up on it.

I called Pettit a while back just to ask some questions about the SC or having a turbo installed, and to be quite honest I was very dissapointed with whoever I spoke to. Whoever it was certainly made me feel that I was wasting his precious time on the phone, like a "why the hell are you bothering me" attitude. Being a business owner myself it really turned me off to doing business with them, especially considering its a 12 hour drive for me to bring my car down there in the first place! No offense to you Bindon, you have always been polite and more than happy to help, but I would rather give my business to a company that isn't a dick to a potential customer.

They should have just refunded you the money for the dyno tune that apparently never took place. that is just a common business practice. You don't take money for what you did not deliver.
Damn, I was thinking of taking my car over there to get dynotuned... Now forget it. I'll take a drive to Tampa when time comes. Will kill two rabbits with one shot. Get the fuel System/Injector Upgrade, and tune it at the same time.

In Pettit's defense (and other shops for that matter), there are far too many people that call just to chat about their supercharger or turbocharger questions and this wastes shop time. When there is a specific question on a product, it is far easier to answer e-mails rather than spend the whole day on the phone not getting anything done. I can tell you from having worked in a shop atmosphere before that phone calls are an inconvenience when you are busy. If there is someone up front who isn't busy and has time to talk, that's a different story. If that person is busy trying to talk to 4 other people who have the same general questions, it probably isn't going to happen right then and a potential customer needs to understand this. Bindon is here and answers questions quite well. Leave them here or in e-mail but let those guys get their work done unless it's a call to place an order. As a business owner you should know that when you are busy, you can't give everyone the time they would all probably like and it's hard to talk to multiple people at once. Any business will gladly make the time to take an order or arrange an appointment and these should get priority over general questions that won't lead to business right this moment. Save those for e-mails or forums or at the very least leave your number so they can call you when they have the time.

They have asked that we not call them to ask questions regarding the supercharger. This forum is the best way of doing that so as not to flood their phone lines with calls asking them the same questions repeatedly. Why would you consider driving twelve hours to Pettit anyhow? I'm sure there are competant tuners a lot closer to you than Pettit.

yes, thats right they did. And after my 5th email over a 2 month period went unanswered I called them. But, with the attitude of the person I spoke to on the phone I will not give them my business. There is no excuse to talk to a potential customer that way, if I did that I would expect to lose the business as well.

As far as why drive that far? If I am spending that ammount of money on my acr I want it done right the first time, by someone with alot of experience and a good reputation. I have looked all over this area, and this state to find someone with a good reputation that has experience with the Renesis... there are none. This acutally ties into my business.. I own a Custom Airsoft shop, and I have people from all over the country send me their guns for work... they don't take it to their local dealer or shop because I have the reputation of being one of the best gunsmiths in the US. The same, as I said before, goes for my car. I would rather take it a long way to the best than have a mediocre job done locally.

What was your question about the S/C kit.

actually my questions were more based upon having a turbo kit installed at the time, and what the benefits would be with waiting for the SC over the turbo.

Ok, why didnt you ask on the pettit thread. I said along time ago please dont call pettit, the question is a good on, ask on the thread and ill answer it. The reason that Jeff got frusterated with you is because hes not working on the project, hes the parts man. As for anyone to answer your question on the phone, when me and Cam are brainstorming or working on R&D, taking 10 or 20 minutes on the phone screws up our train of thought for the day and if were on a roll it really puts a road block up and wastes the day away. I apoligise for being so blunt but its the truth. Like I say its a good question and you should post it.

I spoke with Bindon tonight, he tells me they're going to refund $100 for the damaged wires and give me an hour dyno at mazsport.

I don't want to let this go longer than it needs to, so I'm posting this update now so everyone knows they are making this right, and then deleting the thread in a few hours.

Thanks all for the support, and Pettit for running an honest business.
