Thumbs down bad guy: "NOTURX8"

i sent him a paypal payment for a BHR Ignition kit, from this thread:

https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-parts-sale-wanted-44/bhr-ignition-kit-189460/

its been a week and i haven't heard anything. no tracking number, no emails or PM's.

all i'd like is either a response saying that the ignition coils are on the way, or a refund so i can purchase these brand new from a reliable source.

does anybody know him personally so they can pass the message to him? or a direct way to contact him besides over the internet

no you are doing the right thing. The paypal claim will either make him respond or you'll get your money back (hopefully)

you don't necessarily get your money back, specially if they already removed the money. If you paid with CC make sure you get with the CC company if Paypal doesn't come through, even threaten Paypal that you'll charge back. Almost no company wants to deal with a charge back and they'll just give in.

Just had a dispute on paypal myself and I had my money back 10 days after opening a claim. Started as a dispute waited 10 days to hear nothng from the seller. Then I advanced to a claim which paypal gave the seller 7 days to respond. He never did so paypal side with me and 3 days later the money was back.

I see he hasn't been on the board since 17 January. Also, he said something about sending it to BHR for an inspection, did you check with them just in case that is what he did? Maybe a mod can help you with contact info.

Not sure if you guys remember this guy but in my research it appears PRX8 has been reincarnated as NOTURX8. They have the same email address. Lives in Puerto Rico. Contact silverhokie and see if he has any contact info.

well.. i figured it would be kind of pointless for me to have started a retaliatory bad feedback thread on the guy, but since it's here now... all i can say is, my gut feeling is that he really does have a kit for sale. the fact that he hasn't signed on here since then should be *somewhat* comforting to you.

that said, be prepared to have problems, having opened that claim... as you've already seen, it ain't pretty. even if the guy is on the level, he's not reasonable or logical.

regarding your claim, i've heard that as of november of last year, their policy has changed, for the better. previously, there next to no protection if you didn't buy through ebay -- if the seller had already removed the funds from his paypal account you were basically screwed. supposedly paypal will now compensate you regardless, though if you followed my thread, you'll have seen that i didn't really wait to find out if that it is true.

if/when you decide to get your money back, i would recommend doing a chargeback through your bank or credit card, instead of leaving it up to paypal. i was surprised my bank allowed me to do this, since i had a problem trying in the past (though with a different bank).

best of luck, hoping for a good resolution for you

Sure did...luckily it was only clear corners that time. Ridiculous...you will never hear from that guy again. He used to go by PRX8. A couple of people have been ripped off before me even. The admins should be aware of this and take care of this guy's account immediately.

The only thing I could suggest is calling your credit card company AND Paypal. I only got a partial refund. I know BHR kits are alot more expensive than my clear corners so I feel for you. i now only deal with people who I am familiar or someone can back them.

EDIT: I do not have any of his contact info besides his old Paypal account and old e-mail address.

Double Edit:
Seller's Name: JOSE FELICIANO
Seller's Email: capitolcoordinator@yahoo.com Seller's Transaction ID: 7UH647562D278930R

However...the account his e-mail sent from was listed as OMAR FELICIANO. They are either brother's or something...but that should have set off a red flag.

BTW, I feel compelled to point out that I certainly wasn't getting this level of support from board members when I had issues with this seller. So for everyone who gave me a hard time, you can all go suck it

this situation kinda stinks, now because of this i dont think i will ever want to consider purchasing a used item on the net now. i am usually very cautious and most of my parts on my car are brand new (the main reason why i went for this sale is because the seller responded quickly several times and even came on the forum with the previous mishap)

Yeah I don't buy from anyone unless I get an verifiable ebay user id, forum buyer feedback, or a voucher from someone else I can trust. Also, never buy anything without getting personal information.

I know with club lexus you can only post in the for sale section if someone with a good seller rating can vouch for you, if not then the post is removed immediately, this might be something for a suggestion

Everything you mention was taken seriously by some and I think you deserved a better explanation with your situation but you might want to take more into consideration before saying, "So for everyone who gave me a hard time, you can all go suck it . I think people here understood where you were coming from. I myself as well as many others were voluntarily looking for any information on A-HOLES like this anytime threads like "The Bad Seller Thread" were created simply because If it were any of us, we would feel the same way considering we lost money behind it.

I think this suggestion is excellent personally..... On the otherhand, I don't know if this might discourage future sellers simply because if they happen to not know anyone well enough to actually get good vouchers with good seller ratings. I guess they would actually have to sell something in order to get such a good rating etc. (Think out loud)

I hope this gets resolved and whoever that seller is comes up with an acceptable reason as to why there was no response from him about your purchase. Good luck....

Yeah he was the bad *** boricua that was gonna pay me to fly there to call him a puto to his face. Said his wife mailed it but didn't keep the receipt, then remailed it, then blah, blah, blah.

I think some type of protection should be built in to sell something here. The trader score is a good tool for me, people know I pay. Many don't use it and they should take the time too.
