I just noticed your from Germany. Why not try your explanation in German, both MM and I speak German. Maybe it will make more sense in your native language. And if not, at least we can brush up our German skills.

I don't think it makes sense in German, or Klingon either for that matter

OP: How do we expect vendors to act reasonably if we go around lying about wrecked cars instead of saying things like they are? If anything you got a good lesson I'd say.

His (written) English seems pretty damn good to me. I don't think that could be the cause of any confusion.

I say contact the company who shipped it and get the information from them. If they can show they have the tracking info then drop it, if not then someone's got some explaining to do.

This is very simple. I DO NOT HAVE THE TRACKING DATA ANY MORE.
I send ALL foreign shipments via USPS. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TRACKING DATA ANY MORE.
How many more times and in how many more ways do I need to say this?
Die Tracking-Daten nicht mehr existiert. Niemand kann es zu reproduzieren. Es ist weg.

Once I got a confirmation that you received the unit, I got rid of the shipping paperwork. This was a mistake - I didn't think you were gonna try to do this to me.
These days, I keep everything and trust no one.

man im glad something like this hasnt happened to me. I hate complications. My AP purchase went nicce and smooth. The only thing was shipping took a little longer about a (WEEK and a half or so) but whos gonna die cause they dont have a cobb ap? heh but you shouldnt have lied. I can understand both or your views. Sometime we as human lie to get out of a situation, and in recent times i just call it the AMERICAN way =D

Hope this gets resolved.

The fact that dude lied about his car is irrelevant. He wanted his money back and he is entitled to it IF he did not receive the product. I honestly cant believe you waited a year to AGRESSIVELY press the matter but thats on you. The condition of his car whether its at the bottom of a lake or in his garage really has no basis as to him getting a refund if the product did not meet his satisfaction or did not receive it. Im not taking sides just pointing out that although yes he put his integrity in question the issue here is: customer paid. Seller shipped. customer did not receive product. Goodluck to both of you and hope you can solve the problem.

Good point, except it sounds like someone received it.

wondering which branch of the united states postal service you got that info from?

maybe the address, or a phone #.

Kinda wondering that myself, considering that it is the United States Postal Service and Kazuma is in Germany.

In any event, no - they do not have that ability. I can't just tell them where I mailed something from and to and have them reproduce the shipping info. That just isn't part of the record.
All USPS shipping data shows is the number, the delivery status and how to link to the original documents (something only a USPS employee can do).
Without that number, none of that information is accessible.

It would be like going into a store and asking the clerk to tell you what you purchased on a particular date last year by just telling her you paid with a $10 bill.

The shipping agreement says 11 business days! You got your AccessPORT early!

Honestly.. if you have not received the product after 1 month you should have called your credit card company to dispute the transaction.

As far as I know USPS delivery confirmation is worthless for international shipments. The delivery is confirmed once it arrives in Germany. After which, German postal service is responsible for delivering the package.

So.. this is all a mute point now since it has been so long, I suggest the next time you buy from a vendor in the US you request insured UPS or FedEx delivery.

Correct. However, the SAME tracking number can then be used in the recipient's country to continue tracking the product.

I do this all the time with US -> Canada shipments. I have to track it at usps.com until it reaches Canada, then I can track it at canadapost.ca.

Just some useful information in case other int'l people want to track their packages

I was comparing myself to the guy. I am a very patient person when it comes to my car. also other items take a couple of days to recieve if they arent on back order.

Not lashing out against ya Jeff
