BAD GUY: EVO-R Motorsports - Jay
I really hate to do this but this has gone on long enough. Jay from Evo-R sold me a Carbon Fiber RX-8 front lip on March 26th with a promised shipping date of April 16th. It is STILL not here and NOW he will not communicate with me at all after about 7 e-mails. I have asked him several times to update me or send me a refund and now he won't respond. I please ask that NONE of your purchase his products until he is found to be responsive.
If anyone knows him personally and has a way to contact him please let me know. I feel as though I am about to be $459 out of luck and I am willing to go to whatever lengths to retrieve even a portion of that money. A quick note: I have purchased to evo-r rear trunk lip for my car from him a year or so ago, and received it just fine. So...I don't know what this guy is doing. ^ I ordered the CF gauge pod from him awhile back it took maybe 3 or 4 emails to get a response the product comes from overseas so it took awhile and i think he just has no control over the other end i eventually got the product after talking about a refund and possible paypal dispute because it was almost 30 days. He threw in some little spirit r decals which was nice but i really just wanted my pod. I think you will get the product it just takes wayyyyy to long and he has no control and doesnt have a good answer so he doesnt which is silly also because communication is better then not answering.

Damn. Glad I'm not the only one. Sent him those e-mails and now waiting for a response. Moving over to rx7club as well to drop the info. Like I said, I did order his trunk lip, which I love btw, and that was super fast. He did tell me he was talking with the manufacturer, but he needs to keep the customer that paid $470 updated once and a while.

Sorry dude, I just won a paypal dispute on items I never received from another vendor. I don't know WTF is up with shitty as vendors lately.

i have seen threads like these for this vendor before. i think it is because people order things that are not in stock. i'd recommend to anyone ordering from Evo-R PM Jay before ordering to make sure the item is actually in stock.

I think Jay doesn't stock enough items or something. just guessing. Mine took awhile as well. But personally i think the wait is worth it i mean your getting a replica that actually fits very well, which also going to arrive faster than the real one from Japan.

I bought eyelids from him before. Had to email him a couple times reminding him to get them painted. Got them a couple weeks later than predicted.

Yeah I dont think hes a bad guy or a shitty vendor he could just use better communication i figured it wasnt in stock i think it even said it wasnt on his listing but he gave me a shipping date which ended up being alot later. The product is awesome just needs better communication.

I e-mailed him the other day using my g-mail account instead of my Virginia Tech account just in hopes that it would catch his eye. Behold, A RESPONSE!!!! It's only fair to update this thread with his response so you guys can make your own opinions of the situation.
"Anthony, I have not ship out the lip yet. Cuz I'm suppose to get 5 sets in this week. Once in I'll ship out ASAP. Thanks! Jay S EVo-R INC." There you go...I'll keep you updated if he sends me a tracking number or if it shows up at my door. |

i emailed him to make sure he recieved the order and he emailed me back within 40 minutes. he said he should have them in stock next week ready to ship

If you had even bothered to check it would be clear that this is a common situation for this vendor. He is overseas and has his parts made over there as well. If it's in stock with him you can usually get it quickly, otherwise you can expect to wait.
I've never bought anything from him and even I know this. Why is it you don't? |

Whatever happened, he straight up lied. This once again gives me little hope of getting this lip on my car during these prime summer days. To the best of my knowledge he's never stiffed anyone.
You can have daily make-work emails "do you have it yet - no still waiting" or you can wait and be told when it's ready to ship. In the end it's the same result. |

i emailed him multiple times and told him i just wanted my money back that i dont even want the lip anymore, and he finally emailed me back yesterday saying, and i quote, "sorry could get them i non time. ill refund you now"

i ordered the same exact lip from the same guy and got it in 2 days from overseas. my advice is to contact him before buying anything to make sure it is in stock and to avoid this from happening. |

Sorry guys. I'm always here on the forum. Just saw this thread. Max you did get your refund on the lip. Anthony, the lip never came in from factory. I have cancelled 2 of the, hoping tthey can make 3 faster. I do have one on my OEM bumper, since I change my front to AUTOEXE front. Like other says this lip fits perfect and all people who had it love it. If I do have in stock I would have shipped next day. But when its out of my control I can just push the factory everyday. Anthony I an refund you if you like and I'll post here once they come in. Let me know. - Jay

Your lip came in! man this time quality is even better than old one. CF cover on the inner center section and bottom all the way! Its going out tomorrow. Check you email for FEDEX tracking. Like others said, its worth the wait.
