Didn't expect this, did you? Me neither.

I received my exhaust earlier this afternoon, straight from 05renesis in Dallas, Texas. It was shipped on October 20th. I received the following private message from renesis on that same day:

cost me $167.72 so in the end i didnt really make anything. I am sorry once again but i wasnt able to message you while i was in there.
Now, you see, I had purchased another exhaust while 05renesis was long gone. It has not arrived at my doorstep yet (Nor has my seller replied in four days; maybe he scammed me too lol), but I told renesis that I may not even want the exhaust anymore. His response:

And i was charged $460 from paypal and just got off the phone with them and they said since i didnt respond to the dispute that the only way would be for you to send the money again and i doubt you would want to do that since you already got a exhaust unless you wanna sell it. But if you can reply as soon as possible and if i dont hear from you by tomorrow then i'm just gonna tell them to bring it back.
I told him to cancel the order ASAP, as I would not hold myself liable to pay for shipping back to Texas. He responded me telling me he was too late:

I guess what we can do is you try both of them out if you dont want it then i'll try to find the cheapest way to have it shiped back, in the mean time see if paypal will bring up the claim up again cause i have hospital papers and everything showing i was able to respond.
And that's it. Nearly two full months later (feels so much longer that that), I have received the exhaust that I had paid for. Only, it was after Paypal refunded me so basically I've got a little while to choose between the SP2 that I had originally wanted and the Evo TT that I had bought in this thread.

So, I guess 05renesis isn't a scammer, but I'll tell you all one thing: the exhaust came in a way that honestly scared me. It wasn't even a legitimate shipping box; the guy took two large "Sony" boxes, taped them together, and threw the exhaust in. There was absolutely NO packaging/protective materials used to protect the exhaust. Completely serious. The only thing he threw in was an awkward-looking piece of styrafoam that was about a foot in length. I mean, really. It's a wonder that nothing is bent, but I'm scared that the tips aren't going to be even. I'll find out on Wednesday when my buddy and I install it.

Anyway, that's it. 05renesis isn't a legitimate scammer, but he's still a bad guy. You should have made sure that the package was shipped; being in the hospital doesn't mean you can't have a family member or your lovely girlfriend ship the exhaust for you. I'm also very annoyed that I was lied to: renesis stated months ago that he had shipped the exhaust on his way to work and would provide me with a tracking number when he got back. Why did he lie?

The way the exhaust was packaged is more than enough to slap a "bad guy" stamp on his forehead, too. You can't ship 460 ******* dollars of stainless steel in a cardboard box with zero protective materials and call it a day. Just ugh...

Well I am glad things worked out for you. If it is damaged make sure you return it in the same way it was shipped to you.
