Smile Wikipedia updates RX-8 win at the Rolex 24

And I quote,"The RX-8 has been campaigned and used in various racing series by privateers. It has seen a considerable amount of success, the most prominent of which being the 2008 and 2010 24 Hours of Daytona GT-class wins campaigned by SpeedSource Race Engineering. This victory also marks the 23rd endurance race win at Daytona by Mazda rotary-powered race car. Other racing series include the KONI Challenge Series in the Street Tuner class."

Source is here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_RX-8

Kind of cool...

The haters would say: "but 3 of the 7 (42%) had engine failure!"

I overheard some Porsche guys talk trash the first time SpeedSource won the Rolex 24, they said too bad the RX-8 that won wasn't from factory like our Porsche Gt3 cars.

Give me a break, haters and cry babies.

its because our drivetrains are different.

if we had the drivetrain they do (at our normal cost) i'd be all over it.

this is equivalent to celebrating an v8/v10/v12 swapped rx8.

Hm... GT3 $125,000
Rx-8 $33,000

You can add a hell of a lot of power with $90k! AWD with a 20b powering the front wheels and another powering the rear?! Someone make it happen.

They are just mad to spend all that cash, just watch it get owned on national tv.
