The C5 was a quantum leap in quality & looks, & the C6 looks like an evolution of the C5. The C3 & C4 are by far the worse.

BTW, this is a 88' C3 Vette :

Back in the day maybe, but not today. Not Sexy
Clearly I've seen them, and I also know a thing of two about them... BTW that is an 88' C4 NOT a C3 Vette which is the only one I would consider for a second giving you. The C4 was MY84-96 FYI. Also, could you possibly have come up with a worse photo of a C4? Here's an 87 vette and for a nearly 20 year old car I'd say it ages pretty damn well, maybe less so than any other Vette but compared to other american cars from the 80s there's no question in my mind. Just about every year of the vette is or will be a classic some day, which is why your statement is so silly to me. Over 50 years in production and all destined to be classics, I'd say they age pretty well as a whole...

Well you & I will disagree. I think the mid/late 80's vettes are junk. The build quality on those are/were horrible. The photo is from kbb.com. The only Corvettes destined to be/are classics are the 50's & 60's Vettes. Hell, I even give you the "Corvette Summer" 70's Corvette before the 80's Vettes. The vette in the picture you have has later model rims on them too. better looking but if I saw somebody in it thinking he was cool I would still laugh. If I was looking for a car that ages well from the late 80's I would take the Porsche 911, hell i would take a Camaro Iroc before I would take a Vette from the 80's.

In retrospect, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to post this on an RX-8 forum. Like a V6 Mustang, it could be argued that the performance of the RX-8 might not neccesarily be up to snuff with it's agressive looks. This one apparently hit close to home for a few.
Your not doing a good job trying to be like Ike..... :p

It's "you're"...and being like Ike is not even a part of my thought process. But if you mean trying to bring you back down to Earth then I'll take that as a compliment.

Just like how Americans love their "light" beer. I still can't understand it. It makes me die a little inside, just thinking about it.

I also noticed that it is a great looking car for a domestic.....hmmmm I wonder if mazda's design team gave ford a helping hand.....

yes, I am a poseur. I am posing to be a 50 year old man whos kids have flown the coupe in my camry solara.

Way to take what I said out of context. But, the fact of the matter is, most people who own performance cars aren't very good performance drivers. You need only show up at a track day to find proof of this. But, I don't care, do what you want, it's your money.

I make fun of people that post on an RX-8 Owners forum and the closest they've ever been to an RX-8 is seeing one in Car and Driver. I won't mention any names so that Ike won't feel offended.

All the context needed was provided. Perhaps the (original) statement(s) invloved needed some hope of context to begin with.

Listen Billy, I know you don't like myself, Ike or anyone who comes here without an 8, regardless of their intentions with the car. I know I insinuated you were stupid once because you said something stupid about srt-4. Maybe you're offended because you're one of those **** poor drivers with a sports car. I really don't know. All I know, is that you need to relax. You're not even 50 yet, no need to be cranky.

well if you weren't careful, you'd think some of these people that post here even hate the RX8...

I wouldn't bother posting on the RX8 forums unless I:

a). Own the car
b). Like the car

I plan on buying the car next year, and I came very close to getting one this past year. Is it alright if I stay?

I don't see why not... if it's in your consideration set, i'd say you at least enjoy the car to some degree

I'm just saying I don't get why people waste their own time to trash the car time after time again in a forum dedicated to said car.... but that's just me :D

Sup dude?

I have more trouble understanding why somebody wonders over to the general car forum and expects us all to share the same dillusions of grandeur that you post ****** in the RX-8 discussion have. Who's the fish out of water here?

Imagine that. An internet site named "RX8Club.com,' and some folks haven't a clue as to why RX-8's are the primary topic of discussion.

Sigh. Go back to driving your econobox, please. Perhaps that is something that you understand.

PS: Those "posting ******" among us spell delusion correctly, if that helps any.
