What's the fastest speed you ever done?
I'm not sure if this thread has ever been done or not, but I want to know what's the fastest you have ever done on an RX-8 or any other car, racetrack or on the street. If you can post video or pics of the speedometer then excellent, but I'm not encouraging it. I've only done 165mph on my 04 RX-8 while driving from Riverside to San Diego, CA on the 15 south at like 2am on a Monday, but I only got video of a time I did 135mph.

I did a driving day in England for my birthday this past year and was able to get to 202 mph in a Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640.
Before that I buried the needle a few times in my R34 GTR at 300 km/h (186mph).

no sleep til it spools
well technically, it's plausible if he put smaller diameter wheels on the car, which would make the car's computer "think" that the wheels are moving faster, thus showing said speed....but yea, 165 in a stock 8 seems hard to believe. maybe you were going down hill? lol

I will probably be sanctioned for this comment, but, your a dick head, hoping this will happen. Do you not realize there are owners in Germany where 52% of Autobahns have NO speed limit . I would like to continue ragging on you , but common sense prevails. Oh, and learn how to spell.

Let's keep the thread RX-8 based, and civil please.....
Personally, 146mph (240kph) on an airport run.
Maxed out hitting the limiter in 5th, changing to 6th just loses speed, not enough power......

Intense irony. Point out my spelling error. Is English your native language?
Oh, and I accidentally went 98 mph on an onramp.
The 8 is so smooth, it can be hard to gauge speed when distracted by oncoming traffic.
Edit: While you're looking up quadriplegic, also look up Richtgeschwindigkeit.
