88 RX7 TII / 94 Jeep Cherokee Those are the two cars I had before I got the 8. Traded the jeep in on the 8 and sold the TII to another rotard.

Mine was gold with a white pinstripe and chrome rocker panels going all the 19 feet of body sides!

My previous car (and my first) was a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3. Loved the car! Only put 12,000 miles on it in 2.5 years of owning it

First car was a Subaru XT, then to a Pontiac Formula WS6, then a Chevy Silverado Z71, then to another Silverado Z71 (still my DD), then picked up a Cadillac CTS-V, a BMW X5 shortly thereafter, got rid of the X5 and got a Chevy TrailBlazer SS, sold the CTS-V a little while later, replaced the TBSS with a Mazda6 (still have, wife's DD) picked up a Chevy Suburban 2500 (still have) and then my RX8 that bought in mid-Feb.

Would like to sell my Suburban since I sold my boat and no longer need a tow vehicle.

sold4EVO,

Curious... my buddy has been debating selling his 8 for an evo. I never got to drive one but he is in love with the roid-raged-mitsubishi engine that he said throws you around... the only thing that catches me a little is the interior.

Whats your point of view on evo vs 8 interior? i find they look cheap and are cheaply made compared to the mazda, no offence..especially since ive never actually been in one

1997 Accord, before that was a 2002? (i think) pontiac grand am (totalled it in canada), and then my first was a 1993 Chrysler LeBaron. Thing burned oil like it was its job. But, I wanted an 8 since I was younger, so I settled for an 05, love it. Its funny though, now that I am learning a ton about cars from working on my 8, I realize how much $$ I could have saved by doing stuff myself on my previous cars if I had just learned. *****.

Laughable and obnoxious to post that in this thread on an RX8 forum with that handle. Figures that Evo converts not as gracious as Lotus ones. Move on, buddy. Crying out like you used to date a hot girl for one that now benches 300.

Hi Callan, The Mazda has a nicer dashboard/softer plastics and I also liked the metal door handles inside of the RX8 (small thing but that impressed me). I have owned 2 RX8s and would gladly own another, very fun car. I do like the Recaros in the Evo though, one of the best seats Ive ever sat in. I have the base Evo GSR manual transmission...the only options on mine are the alum/metal shifter and handbrake (much nicer than the Evo standard shift **** and handbrake)
I did trade my DD Ford Focus in for a 2011 Mazda 2 Touring 5 speed....it is a great/fun car (and gets 38mpg avg in mixed driving!) ...shifter is Miata like ( I owned one of those too )
So Im getting my Mazda fix during he week with the 2.

2009 Pontiac G8 GT, L76 6.0L V8, Magnaflow exhaust, Volant intake, Diablosport Predator custom tune. It was a great car and I plan to get another one when I get the money.

1997 Pontiac Grand Prix. Had it in the family for 13 years, it was my first car, passed down from my dad. Had around 140,000 miles on it, still drove like new. Was only the base SE model, but had the 3.8 V6, and was surprisingly good through corners for being a larger car. Only had it for two years, but still miss it.

I traded my highly modified Mazda Speed 2005 Miata for the Rx8 which can out handle any miata and come out of the corners with little effort. I love this car!

I've only owed two cars, got an 87 Chevy Blazer from my grandfather when I was 16, thing kept breaking, spent at least a few thousand hours fixing it up. A few weeks ago decided I've had enough.

I had enough saved up so I sold the truck an bough a 06 rx8 and couldn't be happier
