Same here, didn't even drive stick until I bought my 8 as my first car. Loved it, learned in it, I let those around me have their "I hated my first car" story, I avoided that and went for the best.

Until last year I was using a Ford Explorer. After some time it gave some severe engine problems. Then I switched to a new car (Nissan GTR) which is more reliable and comfortable.

Well this is my 1st post here. I just recently sold this car and I am using the money to buy an RX8:

-1988 Pontiac Fiero GT

I owned this car for over 12 years and put a lot of time money and fabwork into her.

The drivetrain is a custom-setup consisting of a series-II 3800 V6 engine with a custom turbo setup.

I have run a best of 11.367 and trapped 121.50mph in the 1/4 mile. And even with that, I could still get over 26mpg. It was also pretty bulletproof as I had put of 45 quarter mile passes on the car with virtually no issues.

Here's a link to a video of me beating a C6 Corvette Z06 in the 1/4 mile:

My last car was a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am GT with the SC/T Performance Appearance Package. Had some problems but it was a little bit of fun. Nothing at all compared to the '8. Not to mention the Grand Am was Pontiac's best selling model so they are EVERYWHERE. I love being unique now.

I was driving a 2002 Lexus IS300. Loved this car and its engine. I would have kept it but someone stole it, took it to Tijuana, sawed off the back and welded a new rear end to it...
But i have to say i am happy that i got my wankle.. its the most fun i can have with 1.3 liters

I held on to a '93 Isuzu Impulse until 2002. Nifty underrated car. Decent handling by Lotus.

I kept all the cars I've acquired since then.

Here's a list of the cars I've had...
1. 97 Honda Civic DX
2. 98 Honda Civic DX
3. 94 Acura Integra LS (This is actually my gf's car now)
4. 98 Chevy Lumina
5. 04 Acura RSX
5. 10 Jeep Patriot
6. 04 Mazda RX-8 (Current)

I'm planning on getting a winter beater car pretty soon while the 8 is chillin in the garage, but I'm still not really sure what to get... I'd like a truck for the snow, but then I'd like a car with decent gas mileage for all of those other times...

My previous car which is Honda Accord 1996 give me very hard time. The bad brake gave me no warning. The pads & rotors had to be replaced and the costing is near about 289 dollars. And the extra charges are 150 dollars because some rotors takes a lot more work. That time i decide to change my car.

First car: 2004 Mazda 6 (sold)
Current: 2005 Mazda Rx8 GT

The mazda 6 was a lot of fun. FWD kinda sucked but the V6 produced a pretty adequate amount of power and sounded great!
