I have a 2000 Cavalier then got 2002 WRX then 2004 350Z then 2004 Xterra Now 2004 RX8

 

In '92, I had an '87 Porsche 944.
Traded it in in the spring of '93 for a 92 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo (FWD).
Replaced that with a 1980 Austin Mini in the Summer of '94 when I moved out of my parent's place.
Replaced the Mini with a 1999.5 (2000 Body Style) VW Golf GL (Like Columbus, my first and last VW). Wife still drives it.
Summer of 04, 04, RX-8 GT.

 

2002 Nissan Sentra Spec-V (wow what a difference this car makes) Don't miss that car one bit. :D

 

72 pee yellow toyota corolla- no reverse- lucky it was small and easy to push.

1995 Toyota Twin Turbo Supra

 

96 Miata, with custom shocks. Ultra-harsh street ride, crazy go-kart handling, very forgiving chassis. My RX-8 is harder to drive but its limits are higher. Thankfully that Miata was my first car with airbags! It was totalled, leaving me no choice but to buy the 8 (which I have now come to love).

 

A 1993 Honda Civic, Si with over 200,000mile on orginal transmission and engine!

The only things I replaced were the alternator, clutch, and front rotors! I dont think I will ever have a car that was so dependable like the Civic.

 

-84 Mazda 626: served me well but got rear ended and totalled

-89 Mazda MX-6 turbo: ugly, needed paint, but lots of fun until a busted tranny

I am reminded of a comment a long-time MX5 owner said when I got mine. He said unlike most of the sports cars on the market, the Miata was made to have fun in urban/suburban terrain. You can blast through all the gears, feel like you are flying and never go over 80 mph. I found this to be true, in a Miata you can really drive the car and keep your license.

Side note: Just got my first ticket in 20+years after 2 months w/the RX8, 50 in a 30mph zone (on a country road night speed trap). I am now the proud owner of a Valentine One Radar Locator. THIS IS A MUST HAVE IMHO!!!

Haven't gotten my 8 yet, but my previous car was a 1986 Toyota Corolla GTS Coupe. I've also got a project AE86 going, actually, on hold until I have time for it.

I've had 9 AE86's so far, so I knew I had to get something RWD and sporty, but with 4 seats and cargo space like my car. So hopefully the 8 works out.
