What not to do to your car!
Looks like someone backed into it doing a 3+ point U-turn on the street.
It happened to one of my cars too. Sucks.

What not to do to your car? Drive or park in NYC. For ONE DAMN NIGHT I parked the daily driver 2013 CX-5 on the street instead of the drive way (had to do some moving), I get a hit and run. How? No idea. An idiot that can't spot a CUV on a residential street or an equally dumb drunk driver.
Tried my best to be defensive owning a car in NY. ALWAYS parking at far end empty spaces of lots, rarely street park if possible, drive like I have paranoia, etc. That clean streak lasted a year and a half at 22,000 miles. Can't own a clean car in this city without it getting F'd up by ********. So, avoid what I do: driving and parking in NYC.

^ I think you're missing what I'm saying. Since the AEM intake replaces the massive stock intake box with a metal tube, there's a substantial amount of room freed up to evacuate hot air out of the radiator. Wouldn't the vents help get that hot air out of the engine bay, allowing a little more flow through the radiator?
Interesting read and somewhat related.
