He didn't even list the knock in the motor as a bad thing he just tucked it in there at the bottom. I can't say that I have ever seen someone do that to their hood.

I have seen a few Honda lunatics do that to their hood. K-series swaps in older Civics sometimes need a little cutting. It still looks horrific.

ive seen lots of muscle cars with the hood cut open to clear dual carbs, air intakes, blowers ect

I have seen that but that is not even in the ball park of what is shown in this picture. What this guy did was have the entire top of his engine exposed, even the oil cap is out there for anyone to just open and throw some dirt or sand in there.
