undercover police
idk about where everyone else lives, but undercover police in northern new jersey are becoming pretty sneaky...
normally id be able to spot an undercover cop a hundred yards away, but today i just saw someone pulled over by an undercover ford explorer! maybe ive been blind all along, but when did they start using suv's??? and what other types of undercover cars have you seen on the streets?

a couple of years ago, an all white volvo s70 wagon drove by me while i sat at a stop light. it had the oklahoma highway patrol sticker on the door. the whoopee lights were on the inside and it had a state exempt tag. oh yea, the real deal. i saw this year, oklahoma now uses the big ford suvs as well.

Ya I'm not a fan of the Mass State Police. Problem is this though. There is no highway in this state where the normal flow of traffic goes the speed limit. So they just pick people out. I mean come on, 55mph on 128 and 45 on the pike between weston and boston?

Are you kidding me? Police usually use everything here where I live in Cali SF Bay, Tahoes are used by Undercover CHP, 70's ford pick up truck, white "stealth" Camaro chp cruiser (******* car is all white with the ultra thin and clear beacons on the roof, I got stopped by one
), lets see Old ford tauraus, Lexus IS300 for under cover stings, unmarked crown vics, Explorers (seems to be everyones favorite
) , a crappy chevyy cavalier, ford focus (LOL sorriest undercover car I have seen), old *** square crown vics, 90s mustangs, white chevy van, old cutlass supreme, and some others I can't remember. They tend to lean towards American cars that is why I get nervous around American cars when I am goofing off when I am driving.
BLAH!

I have lost track of all the vehicles used in and around here, I finally just thru up my hands and decided not to do more than 7 over. I have been pulled over by anything from a tracker, crown vic , impala, all sorts of suv's and a mustang and camaro that I have come to view it as a game called," where are my tax dollars being spent this week?".
Chevrolet suburban (lights mounted behind rearview mirror), but after I got pulled over I wrote a strongly worded letter to the judge and the city council members regarding the safety of women (or any) drivers being pulled over at night by an unmarked police car. Drove by about a month later and he was in a marked police car with a full uniform on (note that when he pulled me over he was wearing brown corduroy pants and a cream colored pearl snap shirt...see through). I dont think unmarked cars should be allowed...very unsafe.

I agree with you tiff, just this year in Houston there have been a few incidents concerning individuals posing as police officers. Mostly home invasions, but I too dont think women should have to pull over at night to undercover vehicles, there is just not enough insurance to guarentee they are who they say they are.

AS far as I know there isn't a single non domestic state patrol car in the US, maybe some special vehicles but I don't think you're getting pulled over by anything other than a domesyic. If someone can prove otherwise I'll eat my words, but I've seen so many oddball claims of import cars being highway patrol vehicles shot down. Maybe and actual police officer can chime in on the matter.
Rodrigo I had a nasty little scare in my Maxima with an undercover intrepid a couple years back. He was riding my *** and it looked like a modded intrepid with tinted windows so I floored it and just as I did and got up to about 90 from 80ish lights that were tucked away all over the place on the car started flashing, boy did my stomach drop, but when I slowed down he just flew past me.

In CO the state police use Cameros and Chevy 4WD Pickups usually dark brown. You can tell by about three little antennes towards the front of the roof. They have their lights in the grill and flashing tail lamps on the truck!
