Wow, shoebaca has some great prices! My 3 year wedding anniversary is coming up so I'll throw down some hints such as "It's been a fantastic 3 years honey, I just saw some great shoes on shoebaca.com called ______insert shoe name______ and man you look fabulous with your hair like that!" Yeah, and if that no workie, it's plan B and just buy em myself.

Anyone try THESE?
They are the G16, how are the sizes on the Pillottis?

Oh and winning 8, prototipo have Dupont Nomex (registered trademark) lining so they are approved for track. And the Prototipo are only $40 for great comfort you cant go wrong!

I'm kind of a fan of good ol' Chuck Taylors, but I haven't ever tried a proper driving shoe. Is it worth it just for the occasional AutoX and HPDE?

I just recently retired my Piloti spa and replaced it with Oakley race low. decent price, stable feel and good grip. good enough as casual shoes too.

I really miss my Pilotis when I'm wearing another pair of shoes, even if it's just a quick run around town. I'd say it's worth it, but if you're not totally sure about them, try and find a pair at Ross.

I Wear Addidas Porsche design shoes. They have the curved heel and have a strong center, although the bottom is not as thick as i would like it to be, cause after a long day of driving you still might get a square on your left foot. I bought my shoes a lil bit big so their not as snug as i would like them to be.

Still trying to decide if I want the prototipo, I have kind of a fat foot, but manage to squeeze into Vans (until the heel wears out)

Prototipos are very comfortable, though if you have wide feet they may be a bit narrow. They're not nearly as narrow as the pumas, but I'd say they're slightly more narrow than a pair of Vans.

flat.. globe/vans... nothing with too much wide spaced tread grip.. just my personal preference... wouldn't mind trying those prototipo's...

just got a pair of Piloti Avus, in my opinion, it's more comfortable than the Prototipo. And the Prototipo has kinda a thick sole nways, also it doesn't have the big Piloti written all over the front of the shoes, more subtle, i like :D

I don't think you can go wrong with this:

Puma Speed Cat

I love the style. Just be prepared to get your toes wet when raining. Other than that I think its an awesome shoe to wear.

I bought a pair of Oakley Race Mids a few years ago. Great to drive in.

+1 ON the Piloti's

I had the speed cats which were wicked comfortable, but wore out really really fast. The Piloti's seem to have a bit more meat to use as a driving and walking around shoe, since I am not changing shoes every time I stop my car.

I have these, they aren't too dorky...they kinda blend.

Got a pair of these. Pricey, but well-made, comfortable, and stylish IMO. Great for spirited driving.

Had a pair of Impact Racing driving shoes a few years back. Those were perfect for driving. Thin soles and lightweight. Not the best for everyday walking. Made the mistake of taking them out on a hike, once. Felt EVERY bit of gravel I stepped on.
