That's a pretty good deal considering Fits are so in demand and you'll have good resale. Glad that things worked out. Please post pics!
I think the reason is that in NYC, Manual transmission is not that popular.

Most NYC drivers are having a hard time driving properly on the road *already*. So dont even expect them to be able to handle a car with an *extra* pedal

One more day, Cant wait

All you go go go!

The fit is nice, I wish it was a little more wide but then I guess Fit wouldn't be the name for it.

It's a Jazz!
Alright...time to get INSPIRE to do a wide-body kit for the fit. Don't forget the 22" bling.

Keep it stock. No bling! Wish they'd call it the Jazz though. Not sure why it wouldn't work here in the US.

Bought Wifey a Nissan Versa - the four door & trunk version.
Very neat, with a surprising amount of torque off the line (spoken like a true RX-8 driver!)
Has the CVT tranny, so the engine revs just climb to whatever the throttle amount, then the car zips off at a good pace, with the revs steady.....unsettling!
Nice build quality, the VIN starts with a '3' so it is assembled in Mexico, but the chassis is a Renault design, very cushy ride, and the typical French 'roll' when cornering.

Wifey is more than happy with it, and it was over $5k cheaper than the Mazda 3 (!)

my gf hate Versa for some reason. Plus I dont really trust Nissan's Quality after what my bro has gone thru his Altima SE-R

rattle like crap, problems start showing up after the b to b warranty expires. argh.

Now all Im thinking is, Im going to go back and bitch at them tomorrow (About the tpms) and I want my refund on the extended warranty.

Congrats! Please don't return it Maybe the TPMS coming up is just from the tire pressure being low? Could also be a bad tire valve cover?

I dont care how lovely the car is !!! This should NOT happen for a car that has only 5 miles on the odometer !!!!!

Not to mention, I just rechecked everything it seems that they charged me for registration TWICE.

Thats it, Im going back there tomorrow morning, I really need to

- Get the car fix
- Refund the Extended Warranty - AKA Re-do financing - Im not going to tell them Im coming, just gonna walk straight in and like I want a refund on the warranty, re-do financing.
- Get my 127 bux registration money back.

PoS !!! Thats why no one trust dealerships !

These dealerships don't like you. Remind me not to take you to dealerships when I go buy a car. :

Why not the hatch? I think its more practical and looks less awkward. I finally drove a Sentra CVT. It was fine until the freeway when it would suddenly start droning and kick the revs up even if it minor press of the gas pedal. Ugh.

If only Mazda had this on their US lots... I can't get over how good looking this is for a small car.

the Mazda3 and the Focus are C Segment cars- one level up from the Bsegment that the Fit/Versa/ Mazda2 play in.

So of course the versa is 5k less than the Mazda3.

also the Mazda3 already kicks the Focus' tail. IF its Ford that is keeping the Mazda2 from these shores- and im not convinced it is. it seems like a confidence problem with Mazda themselves that they can price the car appropriately with enough amenitites versus the rest of the market- its because they want their new Verve/Fiesta to succeed here before the 2 arrives

As a car, I'd take SX4 over Yaris, but for all practical purposes, Yaris is the saner choice IMHO.
What about Fit?

Maybe, but I think it might have something to do with profitable margin, when u think about it, Mazda3 is selling so well for Mazda, and Im pretty sure they can make more money outa a Mazda 3 than selling a Mazda2. So why bother bringing Mazda2 to the US ?

but with current gas prices rate, going and going .... UP ~~ Mazda3 is not really that gas efficient, so maybe a year or 2 they might have to bring Mazda2 to the States. Who knows

So the dealership WILL refund the money super fast.
Charging twice for registration is HIGHLY illegal. It usuall happens on used cars, but miscalculating registration is also illegal.

And go get your own financing from your personal bank. I gaurantee they made money on the back end. They dont have to tell you about that part. Just make sure you do it before you make your third payment, that way the dealer does not get their finance money.

A warranty can be cancelled at any time, and the warranty company will pay you back the unused portion of the policy. (remember that next time you trade in a car, most of the time the dealer keeps that money for themselves)

Beagle <--- dealership finance guy
