We have a 2001 Caravan Sport.
It's been reliable, comfortable and practical for six years.

Wife and I tested (all 06's) Grand Caravan, Odyssey, Sienna and Quest. Odyssey was the best with the Sienna close behind.

Keep in mind the Caravan and T&C are complete redesigns for 08:

Odyssey will be the next test drive. But they cost more.

If it's what she wants, she will like it. My daughter has the 2006 version equipped exactly the same way. I have several friends having various trims of the same van and all have liked it. I have noticed a very high level of loyalty among the owners with some having owned and loved all four generations of this van. The owners seem to be a lot like RX owners in that they either see and love the unique features or they see and hate the shortcomings with few ambivalent owners . I think the autoblog above states it well calling Chrysler the king of a shrinking minivan market.

Should be great deals on 2007s as the 2008s have three nifty new features:

1. 4.0 liter engine. I found the 3.8 liter acceptable for this type of vehicle.
2. 6 speed trans-axle. Combining these two would be nice I think.
3. Able to view separate programing on second and third seat DVD systems.

And one questionable feature:

4. Able to swivel second row seats and add table to emulate 60's VW vans.

I find the "Touring" model OK on the freeway but not as solid feeling as my SUV in the mountain passes. I may be biased as I have been driving SUVs in the mountains since 1996 having served my time in minivans from 1986 to 1996. I much prefer the MX5 in the turns, but when hauling two infants in rear facing car seats and three adults the minivan wins hands down.

ps I really love the power sliding doors on both sides for loading the boys up.

I do see the Caliber look, but it also looks a lot like the burgundy 86 my mom had. I think the new look is good. I never really did like the rounded edges of the newer ones (we replaced the 86 with a 97 which wasn't nearly as good a car).

There is a conversion add-on for $6000, adds 12in in height and a 20in lcd and speakers.
I will offer less and see what they say.

Sienna or Odyssey or even the Hyundai/Kia twins. Chrysler products are going downhill quickly.

Does it come with the fake wood trim on the doors? If so can I come over and peel it off? My buddy and I used to do that on his mom's minivan back when we were kids in the 80's. She use to get so mad at us.
