Top Gear episode: Lexus LFA

Power!!
If it comes with a 10 year 100K mile Lexus bumper to bumper warranty then it's worth the price. Otherwise the new Ferrari 458 is the better choice in every aspect.

I'm kind of waiting for in a few years when they bump performance and all the other numbers up a little. You've got to assume Toyota purposely engineered in some headroom.
But wouldn't you have to assume the same for the Ferrari 458 and McLaren MP4-12C?

I don't know. they're only going to make 500. Limited release like an Enzo. I'm thinking this is a one shot deal until they decide to create the next halo car/technology demonstrator.

I want to like it, and I'm sure it's an exquisite car to drive, but with all that carbon fiber, it's still heavier than a Z06. Sure, it's got 90 more hp, but the ZR1 has an answer for that.
Another comparison is the McClaren F1, which also boasted exotic technology but is some 700 lbs lighter and the LFA.
I'm sure the LFA is more geeky/luxurious, though. I suppose that was their target market.

Am I the only one that think more than 3/4 of these will be shipped to the United States?
Seems like the Lexus brand name loyalty is stronger here in the states than any other countries, including Japan.

That is a lot of money for a superb Toyota...I think I would buy a Ferrari if I had that sort of Money to waste on a car..

Even in Australia we tend to view the Lexus as more "prestige" or so their adds would think us believe, but Mr Average are not fooled..it is a Toyota...after all.

LOL I would imagine half of the Acura, Infiniti, and Lexus owners in the United States don't know their cars are based on Honda, Nissan, and Toyota!
But as long as the logos are of the luxury brands, they don't care.
