Time to move on
I decided and sadly I gotta say its time to move on and sell RX8 and get something else. I drive a lot on daily basis and 16MPG kills me. Also I need something reliable with warranty so I don't have to worry to get from point A to point B. Don't get me wrong I love my RX8 and I think its ultimate driving experience but now for me going to college full time and working full time , its not the best choice. I hope one day I will be able to come back to rotary game and buy a rx8 or rx7 as a project car. Saying that I have couple cars that I'm thinking about; Hyundai Genesis Couple , good looking car that's not too expensive I would stay in 2dr sports car class but then I don't think I'm gaining much space I'd say its probably even smaller then RX8 and insurance would be pretty expensive. If I would buy one I would go with 2.0T version. Second choice is Golf GTI , very solid German car , feels near perfection inside , interior is great. Only thing that backs me off , is only 200hp (can be made quicker) and FWD. Third and final choice is Subaru WRX , quickest out of all , most spacious (sedan) but most expensive one. Also the interior feels super cheap , its all plastic! What do you guys think?? Do you have any other ideas?? Help me please.

I voted for the VW because its the best of the 3 according to my tastes. However I would recommend the new Scion FR-S above anything else. Its going to have amazing handling with great gas mileage and very good looks.

Unless he's willing to wait a while, that's probably not the best recommendation. I have no doubt they will suffer from dealer mark up for a while and will be very difficult to find. I believe orders have already been opened, so there's probably a bit of a waiting list for them as well.
As 9k said, the other options are probably better in general, with the exception of personal preference or specific uses. I think the FRS/BRZ is probably too small for what the OP was looking for. The genesis coupe is even a little larger. I'd imagine the FRS/BRZ might end up being a better driving experience (more fun), but that's still subjective.

Epa suggests 19 city 29 highway, not bad at all considering he gets 333 hp and 290 torque as well. The 3.8 isnt the r-spec though, thats the 5.0 v8 which I think he should get instead. That thing is 429hp and 376 tq and gets 16 city/ 25 highway. Over double our tq and damn near double our hp and they still beat our highway mileage.
Very heavy car though.. Base curb weight of 3800 - 4100 lbs?
