but seriously i've always liked the way VW's drove for a daily driver car. I'm sure you/she will love it.

 

This is a better deal than I imagined. The insurance company paid me $4K for the totaled Jetta, and I have guys wanting about $3K for it's tranny, rims, tires, and stereo. That means I'm only out $3k out of pocket. Sweet deal.

Pretty sweet ride. Def needs a driving course or at least a stern discussion of patience & stopping distances. (tho I'm sure that discussion has already transpired)

 

LOL - she has been driving a manual since she was 15, and now at age 20 she can out drive her buddies. But, you are correct about the lesson learned concerning safe driving distances.

I'm taking her to a driving school also.

 

The ECU has been APR tuned to 215hp/247lb-ft. Maybe I should give her the RX8 and keep the 337....

I can't even imagine how much trouble I'd get in if the 8 had another 50 HP, nevermind supercharging it. But then, once I can afford said trouble I will be adding the extra power. mmmmm . . . 300 hp rx8 . . .



that VW is really nice looking and sounds like it will be a blast to drive tho.
