Sparco Wingman: Coolest Child's seat ever...

So I was trying to find a child's seat that I could put into the 8 so that my daughter can enjoy the zoom zoom, and I came across this...

It is a carbon fiber prototype seat which has been designed and proposed to Sparco (not yet adopted as their own product). I never thought I could say this, but that is one sexy children's seat.

Oh, and for you parents, it is designed to take the place of all children's seats for your child's youth. It is fully adjustable to go from infant to toddler rear facing to toddler front-facing to booster. It is even able to be a lie-down side-type seat for the newborns who cannot use a standard rear-facing.

considering that a standard infant seat is circa 200 and standard toddler/booster is another 2-400, I would guess that it would have a cost that is similar to the Sparco seat for mom/dad.

That thing is pretty impressive looking. Somehow I doubt my wife would think it was safe looking, though. You might also want to check out Recaro child seats. They are not quite as badass, but prices aren't much worse than the standard selection at the local retail stores.

Yeah, although it is impressive looking, it doesn't look at all comfortable for the child.

I think its much more suitable for the 4-7year-old boy market than the infants...that is for sure...but badass none-the-less. Frankly, you'll see the regular old Britax sitting in the back of my 8 (if you can see through the tint) :-)

Is this so you can take your kids on track days? Do they make baby helmets, too?

We've got the Recaro - highly recommended. It's a little pricey at around $300. If the Sparco is around $600 range, it might be worth it since it's suppose to last the lifetime of the child.
