Ha right? I just thought this was very interesting. Never heard of anyone even attempting of doing this. Kinda cool, figured I'd share.

 

This is neat! But another problem it creates is the larger/longer rotational mass between the fans. Since the shaft is longer, there's more mass to rotate. In a game of milliseconds, this may matter, but the engineers probably know that and the cooler-running compressor is worth it.
