Stickers FTL
The '93 spec wing looks completely out of place with a front bumper based off of the '99 spec design. This would look so much better with a '99 spec wing.
Love the color scheme though.

Very rarely do I see an FD that is not plastered with kamikaze bodykits. I don't understand if the FD was such a beautiful car in stock trim, why are they always pasted with various wings, skirts, holes... and more holes?
So my only conclusion from FD owner's perspective is that the rx-7 is an ugly feminine car and therefore requires such bodykits to make it look errr... nice and aggresive.

Nice looking FD,like the color, like the hood, kit, not to crazy about the wheels, but overall it works.

Dehli i agree, to many kits make the FD look like a spaceship than a beautiful sports car. If i owned a FD i would probally change the front to a 99 spec FD, get the fixed headlights , throw some rims on it and call it the day. Although the black FD I posted is the exception, though its on the wild side, its tastefully done without going overboard.

I agree that there are quite a bit of FDs with 'kamikaze' body kits.. including mine
I guess to give you a reason why I put mine is to make it bit different (just as I had 99 spec kit before this to be different from 93 stock body)... But I guess at the end, we want our cars to be bit different from others and in some, thats the fun of it all.

Sure, some thinks it kills the stock body line.. But I'm fortunate enough to still have all the stock body parts at home and I could turn the car back to how it was if I wanted.. Until then, I don't think its bad to change up a bit to be bit unique...

ok so ugly is fine as long as it's unique? That is an odd way to look at it. why spend money making it look worse. The stock FD looks fabulous.

Aha.... therein lies the issue right there. Since most FDs are clad with molded plastics from Taiwan in order to be unique. Then it stands to reason that by keeping one's rx-7 at Mazda stock trim would therefore be more unique.

I guess this fella wants to be unique too.

LOL! First, not all FD's are 'clad with molded plastics from Taiwan'. Just in case, my FD contains 0 parts from Taiwan

Second, if everyone kept their car stock, what fun is it?? Example, my event.. If I only invited FDs and 150+ FD's showed up and they were all identical except difference in color... would you consider that be to an ideal event?? I think sometimes people need to respect people's choices and taste... and also realize without some of these choices people make, you yourself will be bored out of your *** and can't make fun of them...

Joking aside, I do understand the point you are making.. Its sometimes refreshing to see a super clean bone stock FD... with stock exhaust and all. As I rarely see stock FD's anymore.... and becoming a rare sight.
I'm sure like any collectors cars... as time goes on, people will bring these things back to stock... stock... as once rolled out from the factory. Hence, I kept all my stock parts... But until that time comes, I rather distory aftermarket parts instead of stock But I know not all of these kids think the same...

Here are my other collections... some of it (minus another 1993 blk/blk FD and 1973 Silver RX3)

My 20B Cosmo will be modified so I don't wear and tear original parts (I'm considering it to be a collector's car in the future). Hence I bought a spare front clip for future parts..

I wanted to show you that so you don't think I'm BSing about not understand you.. I do believe that in the long run, stock/stock cars are more desireable... Until then, why wear them out

Thanks! The spoiler is OEM 99 with AutoExe Carbon deck... And I'm not much of a sticker guy... but I put Exedy decal because they are my sponsors.

I do not think we need to respect someone's choice or decision as much as respecting their right to do what they want to their car. I have a right to not appreciate another person's poor taste

You are smart to keep the stock stuff. I always get welled-up when I see a bone-stock (exterior wise) FD. Just far too many in Kamikaze Ninja kits. But on the other end, the old 300zx and Supras aren't always decked in bodykits.
