Smaller Rotary Idea
I was thinking about chevy and how thier big displacement rotarys had lots of proplems due to such a large flame front. I was thinking, how about a smaller rotary. and set it up more like a piston engine, smaller rotors and housings but more of them. Say we take a regular 2 rotor 13b and shrink its diplacement in half, so 650cc. The put 2 of those 650cc 2 rotors engines together thus making a 1300cc 4 rotor. I might be wrong but wouldnt that produce more torque then a regular 2 rotor 13b. Couldnt this help with stresses due to large E-shafts and huge flame fronts? Basically make the rotors and housings smaller but increase the number of rotors total. So you could have a 2L 6 rotor, that would be very much like a straight 6. Maybe ive lost my mind, but it sounds good to me. What do you think?

Torque is a function of displacement. It doesn't matter if it's from 2 rotors or 4 rotors of the same total displacement. The only thing that would change in the powerband is at what rpm torque peaks at. This goes the same for changing the rotor profile so it has a longer "stroke". I am a fan of a smaller multiple rotor engine.

im a fan of rotary + eboost engine ala the GS460h. seems like the only way to me for rotary to make more power while getting better fuel economy.

I'd love to see a 1.5L 3-rotor! Or a smaller FI 1L Renesis. If they keep the same size for the ports, it'd flow a lot! haha, dont flame me, maybe they'd need the sequential twins once again, or variable vane turbo, I dont think any turbos cant provide good boost from lets say 2000-10000rpm.. the smaller renesis can have a slightly higher redline too!. =D
but...... theres the AFSC LOL!! good boost for any rpm!

Just think, smaller, 4 rotors, turbo.... Fun! Something along the size of an inline-4. The idea some how came from the evo. I was just thinking something much like the size of an inline 4 with a turbo but it will be a rotary, a 4 rotor at that!
