Here is a serious project car for your viewing the guy doing this project has spent years building it and is gonna have one nasty car when it is all competed. He has remolded all his body panels into carbon fiber himself to go along with a completely modified cobra that is going to be a TT road race car. Take some time to read through and maybe it will spark a project in you.
Its simply amazing the dedication this guy has for his car.
2600 lbs even adding a roll cage and TT he still shaved 1000 lbs off the car, full griggs road racing suspension, twin turbo, gericho tranny, full roll cage, custom dash wiring, nothing is stock on this thing.
He gold plated his firewall to deal with heat (1$ per square inch), built a one off carbon fiber hood, a full halon system incase it should catch fire, and so much more
