^sadly the only updates I have are still stuck in the computer world. Here are some 1:4 scale 20B engine components. These took a very long time to research and even travel to buy blown engine parts for scaling. The parts in the drawings are all to scale and even include internal coolant passages inside the intermediate housings. I'm about 1/4 the way to having a engine made up of blown components. The drawing shows a needle roller bearing in the rotor but this is not final. The needle bearing may be used in place of a plain bearing to reduce friction, but it would still be supplied with oil.

Work and training are eating up all my time. Didn't give up on this project, just moving at a snails pace. Might have some awesome help on the car body, but I'll have to wait and see. Sorry, but the CAD drawings are not going to be available at this time.

Which CAD program was used to draw the engine? SW? Catia?

In a sense yes, but not on the car itself. Rather my work has been on tools to actually make the components. I cannot afford the rate machine shops would charge for this type of custom work, so I decided to buy and rebuild/retrofit my own machine. This way I can do the machining myself and in addition to that make all kinds of goodies for my 8!

Its not another car forum so hopefully this is allowed:

I have also been working on the courage's monocoque. I am so close to a final scale CAD model that would allow me to start work on the physical prototype. However I am missing any actual measurement from the real cars chassis that I could use as a reference for scaling my entire model. Right now my model has the correct proportions but not the correct scale. Not sure if that makes sense. However, I had a big break in this area but have been lacking on a response for the past few weeks :/

You are most impressive EdwardsB. Does the B stand for Beast ? You are a work monster. I looked at your link on the machine overhaul. Great stuff.

Paul.
