GM and Ford were at the engineering expo at Virginia Tech. Every year, they bring a new car that hasn't been released to the public. There was also a Ford Fusion, but I don't know if anyone would care about that. It suprisingly has a lot of rear leg room though. Also, that H2 in the background of one of the pictures is actually a hydrogen powered Hummer called the H2H Hydrogen.

The C6 Z06 should run closer to 70k I believe. I think they start at 66k but I doubt they'll be going for MSRP or anything below. Beautiful car. The quality of this Z06 seems to be top notch as well, as far as I know most corvettes are top notch quality wise anyway.

With respect,
The quality sucks, the panels and end caps don't line up, the paint has more orange peel than a orange and the interior looks like plastic. I have owned them so when it comes to piles of s*$# I should know..........the only "domestic" I would buy are the 3 from Chrysler (you know which ones). SRT 425 HP versions.

For the last 24 years there's always been a Corvette in my stable, and Vette owners have always lived with certain characteristics that exist with its unique composition. To me, that is what makes it a Corvette.
Take owning a rotary. Different, but similar.
The Z06 is a piece of engineering marvel. Supercar performance without the price. And quite capable of being an everyday driver. Now that's an impressive combination.

That's it...I declare it without hesitation...
THE Z06 IS THE KING OF SPORTS CARS!!!:D
Note: My reasoning is for the money it provides performance that NO OTHER car can even come close to. Have you all seen the numbers that sucker is pulling....WOW!
If I was a rich guy, I'd have one...and use my RX8 as my daily driver...wait a minute, the Vette get's better gas too...lol

I actually sat in the new Z06 today (Solstice too, it was a good car day ). After sitting down and taking a gander around, I really don't know why people bash the Corvette's interior whenever that car is brought up. Sure, it's nothing amazing that screams "luxury!" from the time you open the door, but it is a good deal nicer than the interiors in most sub-$40k sedans (Audis and optioned out BMWs being the exceptions that I'm familiar with, though I'm sure the cheaper MBs are nice, comfortable cars as well).
The interior from the driver's side to the center console was pretty nice, IMO. The navigation screen flows well with the rest of the interior, and the gauges are big, bright, and very easy to read. There wasn't a lot of extra detailing to distract you from the important parts of the dash (the gauges and nav screen), which is the kind of styling I like, though I know others would rather have wood/metal/fiber trim throughout their vehicles. The dash in front of the passenger seat was rather uninspiring and gave me an idea of the "sea of plastic" interior that people complain about, but I was too distracted by the rest of the car to really spend a lot of time staring at that particular spot.
The interior wasn't up to the German luxury car's standards by any means (which is probably why the fans of those cars look down on this aspect of the Vette), but I don't think that it deserves the bad reputation that it has among many enthusiasts. Besides, in a performance-first car like that, are you really going to take your eyes off the road for long enough to notice that parts of the interior are more plain than they could be? Of course, I like the base Elise's interior, so I might not be the right type of person to critique interior aesthetics. :o

Interesting that you would bash the vette for the plastic interior and then turn around a praise the SRT's.
If I was a rich guy, I'd order a LS7 crate motor and stick it in the RX-8.
But then people would be calling us rotary heretics and demand we trade in our RX8’s…lol.
I've had the "honor" (LOL) to drive two Vette's in a short track and I loved the experience. The Vette (while I'm a Viper fan) is the pinnacle of American sports cars.
