Its cool though that you got to drive one
We had to install the Recall parts and it was required by FMC to be driven after the install. I also drove one of the pre-production cars.

I'd still prefer a Ferrari for the money, performance aside. The GT is so damned uncomfortable.

Here's the one sitting in front of my desk.

Ill take a lamborghini, thank you.
Abbid, that occured on a pre production test mule which had one off parts and hundreds of thousands of miles. They did the recall to air on the side of caution. It has all been sorted out.

I thought the recall for a really serious problem with cracks in the front control arms. Supposedly they can break during high speed cornering!

yeah, that's what it was. It was on a pre-production test mule that they noticed the problem though. It's not like some dude was driving his car around and this happened. Their testing did what it was supposed to do, and they fixed the problem. Yet, people hold it against them.

Yeah, like Lamborghini is an icon of quality . Did you read the article about the guy who got trapped inside his brand new Diablo due to a faulty door handle? Imagine his embarassment when he had to call the local police department to rescue him from his $200k+ vehicle. When I get some time I'll try to find a link to an article.

What's a little bit disappointing is that for probably around $70K you could get a 500HP C6 Z06. It'll weigh about the same and it's N/A so you could still supercharge it...

http://www.chevrolet.com/corvettez06/

It certainly doesn't have the look or the cachet but I bet the performance would be uncomfortably comparable, given the 100% price gap.

Also, I think being able to say "I drive a Ford." and have it be a ridiculous supercar is pretty freakin' cool. Most non-enthusiasts have no idea that this car even exists.

I still wish that this color would have made it to production. The original GT40 color.

Gulf Oil might have a bit to say about that color scheme.

It was listed as one of the colors in the auto show booklet I have from last year. It was the only color that did not make it to production. Either Gulf wanted money (like that company who trademarked GT40) or no dealers ordered it.

I don't know why when people are comparing "supercars" they always leave out the Koenigsegg

Acceleration: 0-100 km/h (0–62 mph) 3.2 seconds
Top speed: 395+ km/h (242+ mph)
Standing quartermile: 9 seconds, end speed 235 km/h (146 mph)
Braking distance: 31 m (100–0 km/h)
Lateral g-force: 1.3 g

Power output: 806 bhp at 6.900 rpm.
Maximum torque: 920 Nm (678 ftlb) at 5.700 rpm.
Maximum rpm: 7.600 rpm.

I don't know about everyone else, but i'd take a koenigsegg over everything else, unless someone offered me a pagani zonda roadster

i'm sure if you have the money to afford one, you can afford to pay off the government to bring one in

I think I'd take one of these babies if it came down to performance.
