Unless the car has less than toad style, e.g. nice and smooth like the BMW or Ferrari; e.g., everything not like the GTR... the matte finish IMHO doesn't work it's magic. But when it does work...then it's sex.

The S15 is beautiful!

I am just afraid once this catches on, you will see everybody and there grandmother trying to do there car in satin black paint just like everybody jumped on the black hood fad, then you will see really tacky jobs of people using dark primer, spray paint, or letting there satin finish go to sh*t.

I am so glad the all chrome look never became popular. Plus i don't think driving a all chrome car would be legal.

As I said earlier in this thread, there is a matte clear coat that you spray over black to give it the matte finish and offer protection. You can change the matte effect with how much regular clear coat you mix in with it. From complete flat to semi gloss.
