RX8 or 350Z

That is a lot of difference in prices and the Z is available only from this month, so I had no personal imput on that car, just from this forum.

Just one point if you want a four seater family car why would't you want a quieter engine? The Z-s VQ fit's this bill better, for sure.
Don't get me wrong, I have a car which I like. But just got the feeling that by having a car some people get innevitably biased.
I fear to mention that in my old GT <SIG> I can and dare to go more faster around country roads, hitting 100 mph where the 8 can accelarate to ~80mph.
If that means I'm not 100% satisfied with my 8 so be it! For me it means different cars have different advantages, and non can have all the same time.

but you can't get a 4 seater Z in the US, unless you are talking the Infinity G35 which is a 2 or 4 door, 4 person version of the Z made by the Infinity leg of nissan.
It is a NICE PERFORMANCE CAR, but not as much a sports car as the Z or the RX8, more of a performance luxary car.

Dont know what a VQ is...
but you can't get a 4 seater Z in the US, unless you are talking the Infinity G35 which is a 2 or 4 door, 4 person version of the Z made by the Infinity leg of nissan.

true, 8's are slightly slower, but if i wanted a fast car, i wouldnt have went for a Z.... basicly whats unique about a Z? nothing!

My sister-in-law drives a 350z......drives like a truck but (WOW) can it corner! Acceleration of the 350z is great too. My 2002 Maxima has the same engine and it's almost as quick as the 350z...I love it. Mind you, the 350z is much sexier than the Maxima. But on the other hand, I drove the Maxima through the winter (with winter tires and rims) while she couldn't get out of the driveway (she didn't want to spend the $2k for winter tires and rims) so she had her boyfriend drive her around all winter in an Echo (argh)!
Hey, the 8 is a great car. 350z is a great car. Depends what you want. I didn't consider the z (can't have 2 in the family) but I did look seriously at the g35. Ultimately, I traded my 'stang GT convertible for the 8. Will I be happy? Time will tell.

hehe, count me in, and just bout 80% of the people i know in uni. we all think the new Z is uglier compared to its recent presuccessors. 300z and 280z 240z all the way back to 180z's .... they all look better than the 350z in styling

Z is fast and all, but its engine is in everyother Nissan. Don't u wanna feel special when u drive ur sporty car, WITH DIFFERENT ENGINE? Porsche engine don't go into Audi's.... Special engine for special cars! Z is not special
But skyline is, and Z compared to 8 is not a issue.

Way to revive this year old thread with your nonsense. The VQ engines is one of the best engines ever made. It's special. By the way, lamborghini engines go in audis, are lambos not special?

I love the z and i love my 8. i have a friend with a z. Its a great car with a great engine. Not fond of the tranny but other than that i love it. what kept me from getting a z was insurance and the plastic interior. now thy have redone the interior in more leather. i went and checked one out at the dealership the other day. Is 1000 times better. Both are great cars and i love having a rivalry with a fantastic car. I hope this rivalry will only improve our cars that much more. Rivalries produces the best products.
