Anyone happen to know the background and what actually happened? At some point you hear a guy say "had the wrong size" or something - talking about the lugs? Got new rims that required a different size but didn't bother changing?

yup, it's a repost but it's still disturbing to see that poor car on it's belly.
I believe he bought lugs at a tire shop and they sold him the wrong size. I think that's what someone ended up reporting here.
