Some recent discussion on the forum about Pineapple led me to 9k's old "Good Guy" thread mentioned in Petscar's thread about his experience.
I should've linked it then, but better late than never.
Here it is.

I'm sorry to inform you all. But our rotary shop here has burned down. It was called "Saint John engine builders". You will be remembered.

I'm not sure. I haven't heard anything since the fire. The building is totally gone now. They tore it all down and now it's an empty lot.

Due to recent concerns and discussions about the authenticity of "new" engines from Pineapple Racing, I reached out to Rob and I'm satisfied with his reassurances that Pineapple does in fact sell completely NEW engines.

I'm having Luddite link sharing issues, bear with me.

I'll try to link the images later.

Here is the thread that prompted the discussion.
FWIW, I assumed they were new engines since Pineapple offered this engine for $6100 and also a reman for $4100.

Embedded in the thread is a screen shot of Rob's reply to FiftyFifty assuring him the engines are "brand new".

Welp....

I was informed today that Rob at Pineapple has no idea when NEW engines will be available again.

I hate to give in to my cynical side, but it does leave me questioning things.

I offered to put a deposit on a NEW engine weeks ago until I was prepared to go through with the engine replacement.
Now that I'm ready to do it I'm informed that there are none available.

I'm really trying to give the benefit of the doubt here, but Idk what to think now.

I'll update the link.

I don't think you need to doubt what they told you then was true, or what they are telling you now is true. Both are likely true.

In my business, this has happened a million times since 2020. It's really getting old. I would not doubt that Pineapple is telling the truth.

Plus, if the engine in those pictures is not new, I am Fred Flintstone.

this is what you can eventually expect from a $250 home rebuild job

I doubt it was even making 170 whp prior to going boom based on what I saw in the earlier vids

RPM ripoff or wk well done you decide

Took my car to RPM in MD paid 35,000 for full rebuild and to fix the crap work from Eric t
Turbo, IR, Goopy, Ivey, RPM claims to be the best not sure after paying all this money still engine leaking oil smoking up a Strom hard starting towed car from MD to NYC after they said it was completed. Took off truck drove half block and it couldn't go anymore sent it back to RPM a $700 tow I might add no RPM did not cover the cost and now they dodging our calls . Now tell me guys would any of you be pissed off as we are because after 18 months we started to get like hey what's happening other customers are getting their cars why not us? And then changing out new parts for their "new parts" I am still waiting for Bill of sale for all the parts they claimed to have purchased....please advise

Before RPM

Before Rpm
