They weren't flaming your parents. They were looking down upon you for bragging about how much money your parents have. So what if they have alot of money, that doesn't mean you should brag or belittle others, especially since you had nothing to do with your dad's sucess. My father could buy me a Bugatti Veyron if he wanted, but would I ever want him to spend his hard earned money on me for such garbage? HELL NO. You have to work for what you have to appreciate it, not just because daddy patted you on the head and gave you the keys to a car you didn't work for. I worked and worked my summers, and I saved my pennies over my 16 year career. My hard worked paid off, and I am now the proud owner of a 03' 325i, 75,000 miles and all. The car is stunning, but it's beauty is all the more enjoyable knowing I worked my god damn *** off for that privelage.

In general, teens are S*** drivers (Myself included). Your attitude about how badass your speed racer skillz must be proof the arrogance and over-confidence that teenagers commonly have on driving. We're just lucky your daddy didn't buy you a BMW M5, so that you didn't end up like those 5 unfortunate Florida Kids hitting a tree at 160 mph.

I bet there are a few great teen drivers out there, but by your posts and maturity level, I would bet many a silver dollar you are not in that club.

I was defending my dad not bragging about him. Im sorry you had to work for your ****, and that your parents couldnt buy you a nice car as a graduation gift. Boo hoo you had to work, when did I say i dont have a job? Yea numb nuts, I DO have a job. Like i said in my previous posts, i damn well appreciate my car and take care of it. I appreciate everything my parents have done for me and thats why im in college; so one day when i make more money than him, i will know i have succeeded in life and i can take care of my parents as they did me.

I never called myself a racer or anything of the sorts. I said the superb handling and brakes of the RX-8 saved my *** from getting into an accident multiple times. Next time read before you try and flame me toolbag.

BTW, the Bugatti Veyron is not garbage.

1.6 million for a car is wasteful spending at it's best. Your parents raised such a charming and considerate young boy. Just don't bother swerving around accidents next time, do America a favor. For the record as well, it's not that my parents couldn't afford a damn nice car for me, its not that at all, it's the fact my father is smart enough to have his son actaully earn something in life, you worthless trust fund baby.

bottom line...yes. you have to be kind of stupid if you wreck a 180 hp and much less torque car. unless you are inherently stupid, you are fine. hmmm....that makes me think of....

I dont understand why i look like a *****. Just because my parents bought me a car for my graduation? I look like a ***** for defending my parents? In their eyes i have earned it so they bought it for me. You are entitled to your opinion. I will most likely never meet you so go ahead and think im a *****. Im just an everyday average normal guy. People on this forum who know me personally know im not a ***** and im actually a nice, funny, and mature person. You dont know me, so go ahead and think what you want; whatever helps you sleep at night pal...

You really arent making a great impression of yourself. Telling me to go kill myself in an accident isnt a very nice thing to say.. to anyone. Im sorry your parents had to collect welfare checks while you worked your sorry *** off in high school. Ive earned many things in my life, my parents know this. They were just so proud that they bought me a car when i graduated. Im sorry they couldn't afford to buy you nice things, and im sorry you turned out to be such a big toolbag. You still prove no point in your stupid flame fest against me. I have proven you wrong on all the worthless points youve tried to make. Congratulations dirtbag.

Youth = inexperienced driver...It's best (in general) to give them something with less power. No new driver is an 'amazing' one. There are new drivers that are careful though and don't do anything stupid. There's a huge difference in being a careful driver and being a good, experienced driver. Being both gives you the best chance of staying out of accidents.

and I guess you have to understand what the 'older' crowd is saying...experience is invaluable...
a less powerful car is the safer way to gain that experience

+1 to the priceless experience, and +1 to it being EASIER to obtain in a less tempting car... After spending a year on the road I have figured out that I am in not position to think that I am ready to be even considered a decent driver, just because of experience and that there is so much more out there. And I cant wait to become just a little closer to decent with HPDE in May.

You are right on the account of everyone is entitled to a personal opinion, I will admit this.

My personal evaluation is that when your dad passes away and you waste what he left to you, you're going to be one sorry *** punk with no self achievement to your name. I've known plenty of rich kids, some were arrogant bastards (Any ideas who fits in here?), but most were down to earth hard-working kids. .

Honestly, I don't have a reason to be nice to you. You have no benefit of the doubt anymore. You are a grade A proven *******, in and out. Perhaps the accident comment was even too much for you, but point being is I have no sympathy should something happen to your ungrateful ***. The truth is I could have just gotten my dad's XKR, scott free, but the impression I would get from others would be bad. They would think I was a sleezy rich kid who doesn't do or earn ****. I earned my car to earn the respect of my peers. Not to mention my parents were very impressed and proud of my work, it felt great knowing I earned that car . I might even have the nicest car on campus, but no one ever rolls their eyes at me since they know I have earned every copper piece of heaven for it. It's OK if your parents are willing to buy a car, just not if you're going to be an arrogant hot head about it. Your bio is stating how your house smells of Mahogany and leather bound books, was there any other purpose to that other than to brag about your so-called nice house?

P.S.

The welfare checks were a funny comment, would you like to see our so called hellhole home or rinky-dink garage Mr. Buffet? Im sure it might be good enough for your high standards.

Sorry, idk any arrogant ********, and i certainly am not one. Please inform me as to how i am a "grade a proven *******" and an ungrateful arrogant hothead. I have made no posts that make me look like that, I have even told you that I have a job. You are making yourself look like an idiot by saying all these irrelevant and untrue things about me. How about you back up your vulgar comments with facts?

Do not reference me to the god-like Ron Burgundy, How is my bio stating that my home smells of rich mahogany and leather bound books? I haven't even mentioned my house in this thread. Why are you even mentioning yours? Are you really just that desperate to flame me that you have to use the "i have a bigger house" card? Grow up. Im sure everyone on campus thinks you've earned your pennies and thats why they dont roll their eyes at you. Whats you address? I'll send you a cookie.

^ why don't you just try ignoring him.

Bought my 8 last summer (first car I ever bought), drive it responsibly and you'll be fine and making the car payments makes you appreciate it more.

Okay, that's enough- this thread is over. If you think someone's bragging, then ignore him- don't call him out. Likewise, if someone starts baiting you, don't respond in kind and start calling the other person names.
