Reputable Car Shipper

I was wondering if anyone would make some recommendations for a reputable coast-to-coast car shipper. Even better if anyone knows a company that works well with classic (collectible) cars, meaning covered transport.

Thanks for your attention.

PM shinka213. She had her car hauled from Pettit in Florida up to the Philly area a while back and said she had a good experience with her shipping company.

I used Exotic Car Transport http://www.exoticcartransport.com/ when I moved from Florida to Wisconsin last year.

Very responsive, professional, and quick service (2 days delivery). Highly recommended. Excellent rates.

Avoid DAS (the preferred ebay shipper) They dropped a ramp on my car and from a lot of reviews I've read their claims process is a nightmare if your insurance company isn't involved.

Fortunately, USAA is handling that side of the equation for me.

You mean, the insurance or the shipping?

USAA doesn't do shipping (nor can they recommend anyone). I called them last year when shipping my girlfriends Mercedes from GA to CA. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the sipping company we used, but they did a great job. It was $800 from Atlanta to San Diego in an open truck.

USAA is the best insurance company out there though if you have the military background.
