My remote has never worked. It's separate from the key and is a Visteon 41844. I've done the reprogramming and the door locks click clonk at the end of the process but pressing the remote lock button twice has no effect. I've done this procedure a myriad of times but never worked. I've had the car 5 years, it's a 2004 model 192 and I've always locked/unlocked the car by the key in the lock. Could it be the remote is the wrong model for my car? I see you can get a 41848 and a 41805 and no doubt many others. My key has a number but that's a separate item and that works well in opening the car and starting it. It's always bugged me and I would like to get the remote to work so can anyone tell me what else I could check? Finally, I sent the remote away to be tested and was told it was fine and yes, I have changed the battery. Thank you for your anticipated assistance. David
