Please, don't go by 0-60 time as to judge how fast a car is.

BTW, didn't the R32 do a faster lap than the RX-8 on Top Gear? You know, the go-to show when it comes to arguing that RX-8 and 350Z is as fast as each other on a twisty track?

I've always said it, and I'll say it again, a stock RX-8, while one of the best driver's car under 50K, it is not a great track car when you care about lap times. If you want to succeed at the track, there's lots of other better options. If you want to have fun driving on a track, albeit slowly, that's another story.

 

I believe the Challenger is the same way...also being close to 4k lbs.

 

OK so I drove it a 2nd time and still not impress. I told my friend that VW left to much on the table the car could have been so much more. The funny part is that after talking to him he said he really did not like the car.

Sure it quick, but everyone walks up to and ask him how many mpg he is getting? Everyone seems to think it a rabbit and gets 30 mpg. I told him if it was lowered about 2 inches take about 2 inches of the roof line give it more of a wide body look to it people would not say that.
