Well, a buddy of mine found a 2000 Nissan Skyline R-34 on lemonfree.com For $4,000 shipped to him from England. I felt a bit skeptical. He told me that the payment will be going through another company, (I can't remember the website for that one, but it seems legit). The deal goes down like this: the guy I know sends the cash via western union to this mediary company. the seller than sends the car to the guy I know. as soon as my buddy gets the car and is happy with it, the money then goes to the seller. if my buddy isn't happy, the the car gets returned and he gets his money back. (I'll post up the mediary company's site later)

Well, the guy sent pics of the car today. I'm very impressed with the car. And apparently it was in the US at one point, but the guy moved over seas and took the car with him. Well, what do you guys think?

No, I typed it right. 4k. According to my friend, the guy said there's nothing wrong with it. I told him to run the VIN. Both companies he's going through to get this seems legit with both sites screaming out fraud protection. BTW, you wont find the car on the website anymore. the guy took it down right after my friend got ahold of him.

i dont know, last time i went to home to visit family the cheapest R32 i have seen was 8k-10k. so a r34 going for 4k is weird. if remember right the cheapest one i saw was 18k, but it could of been a r33. yah i tink it was a r33 not a r34, because one of my friends was at the time looking at either a r33 or r34. And these where cars that dealership is trying to get off their lot due to inspections about to run out and heavy modified.

a 4k car to us is FC, S13, . any how, grats to your friend im not a r34 fan but those pics looks sweet.

 

This yells scam, i would worry about the escrow company. If something is to good to be true it probley is.

 

LOl maybe it's an accord. One time in houston i have seen this accord that looked like a small version R33 lol. this dude must of spent alot of money to make his car look like a gt-r lol. He had it looks so close to a gt-r, the only thing they gave it away was the size.

 

I just did some digging on escrow.com and ebay calls them the only escrow service they trust. also, the site is certified and accredited. The deeper I dig, the cleaner it's looking. they also dont take western union. i let my buddy know that they dont.

heh stuff like that make me laugh - the people that will spend an arm and a leg trying to pass a piece of crap off as the real deal. I'd love to add up all the money said guy spent on an accord to GT-R conversion. For the money I'm sure he could have bought something nice and respectable.

It would be just as stupid if I spent my money turning my RX8 into a Ferrari or something weird like that.

 

If I was your buddy I would be searching for R34's on the net that look the same...I highly doubt that is the persons car.

Dude, its a scam. Trust me. I just got ripped off for a greddy turbo kit on ebay. It sucks. Dont waste your time. Everything checked out for me too but i still got screwed. If its too good to be true it probably is.

why are all the pics chopped at the bottom??? it looks like these pics were on a car mags website. their def. professsional pics too, no amatuer take pics like that.

 

As a former Nissan enthusiast, I will tell you now that there is a catch. It may be a real R34 and whatnot, but getting it stateside is the problem. Once they open up the crate at customs and don't see the proper documents, its either going to be destroyed or returned by the request of the shipper. Assuming he does get it stateside, i'd be careful driving it around. Get pulled over and its over. They usually impond and then destroy (I've actually seen that happened before).

There's a guy in Arizona (I think its Arizona) named Sean Morris who is the only one to my knowledge who has the connections to get a Skyline stateside and legal to drive on the road. But its gonna cost an arm and a leg.

If you want a Skyline, there's a place in Biloxi, Mississippi (I know, not the biggest import scene) that gets them every now and then and are 50 state legal and give you one year warranty for parts. I've actually been there (my parents are from Gulfport and we are there every summer). The website is www.f4w.us. I've actually ridden in the black R34 that sold for $85,000.

 

steak, i just got off the phone with my uncle who runs a nissan shop. i asked him how much is well tuned r34 going for right now, he said about 21k -26k and that is 2000 year model used and this is in Okinawa. Cheapest he has ever seen one was at 18k but the dealership that was selling it is mafia owned =stolen car(and there is alot of mafia owned dealerships in japan) but gl to your friend.

 

If the car was registered as only used for track/racing purposes could you then get it imported and have no problems?
