This car has been in the works for a while and the Subaru community has been following it closely. I bet it's one hell of a a drive and if Subaru has the ***** most of the work has already been done for them and they could beat the GTR to market with a smaller maybe even more fun and exciting package. I don't blame Subaru if they don't bite though, it's a super niche product that won't have mass appeal.

From the article:
"And what of the future? Prodrive hopes a mainstream carmaker—not necessarily Subaru—will take on the design. Prodrive envisions a five-year production run, 30,000 sales a year, at about $70,000 each. Could this be the performance bargain of the decade?"
I just don't see selling 30K units a year at $70,000.
Besides the different exterior and more power, what makes this better than the STI? Are all the mechanicals different except that the powertrain has STI roots?
