I'm just not feeling those gauges or that blue backlighting.

Other than that, it looks decent.

I want to see the blue trim light pipe in person. I think I'll like it.

Does anybody have a pic of the HUD?

Just me I guess.

Gross? A mess? Seriously? The rear is stylistically one of the best parts of the car! Dude you're on crack.

I like the rear as well, some meats under the wheel well will give the rear end a huskier look. I also like the interior light bar, very futuristic.

I have to agree with bigireland. Rear end is definitely the weakest part of the exterior - something not quite right. I think the rest of exterior looks pretty good FWIW.

i think it's badass, but performance wise, its going to suck. i read it's 3750 pounds. 750 pounds too heavy for my liking.

So a high 12 second quarter mile stock is going to suck? It's going to handle well too... I don't where you guys get this stuff.

Yeah I felt the same way about the RX8's bulbous front fenders. Reminded me of a VW Beetle. But it wasn't a deal breaker for me,I ended up buying one.

They're used to everyone saying that a little bit of weight means a car can never be fast!

Wink

I think a torque gauge would be pretty cool. Something different. Instead of watching how much psi you're cramming down your engine's throat, a torque gauge seems like a nice change. Although...there's rumors going around that a Z28 package is in the works, and that torque gauge may very well be replaced with a boost gauge...hmmm...

But yeah ahead of the shifter is the torque guage, voltometer, oil temperature and pressure. Comes with McPherson struts up front and a 4.5 link rear suspension. Last I checked, best you can get is a 5 link, so despite the car's large weight it should handle nicely.

Whats worrying though is that you get 2 different V8's: the L99 for automatics and the LS3 for manuals. Seems like an easy way for Chevy to up the price a little bit. Typically manuals are cheaper than automatics but since you're getting a whole new engine...
Also what worries me the most is that you're getting an LS3 V8 (hand-me-down vette engine, so its virtuably indestructable) paired with fully independent suspension on all four corners. But Chevy insists that the car will compete with the Mustang in terms of price too. I seriously doubt the SS package will go for any less than ~$35K, but it can't go anywhere near the C6's price tag...right?

All in all I think this car is ****** hot at any angle! I've driven a Mustang GT before and the inside is garbage. The live axle isn't as bad performance-wise as everyone makes it out to be. The car handles corners well for a car so big. Its the comfort zone that the live axle fails in. Mole hills turn to mountains basically. Independent systems get you the best of both worlds (like on the Camaro). In a few years this could very well be the car I finally give up my RX8 for. Actually scratch that...whenever my RX8 has to go (for whatever reason) this is what I want to replace it. Gotta love Chevy

Fully loaded Mustang without nav is smething like 32k I think. I priced up a Challenger R/T with everything but nav and got 36.6k I'd expect the SS optioned the same to be bewteen the two. Actually GM has publically said that it will be priced competitively with the Mustang and Challenger.

LOL!. Nice.

From what I see so far, I think Chevy did a great job on the Camaro. It looks really close to the concept car I saw at a car show a few years back which was a knock-out in person. Its hard to see the signature coke-bottle shape in pics. The interior is still retro but somehow looks modern at the same time. Overall the best looking modern pony car. Though I would only want a V8, the direct injection 305hp V6 sounds interesting and is over a hundred hp more than the 'Stang V6 yet still smaller. Looking forward to test driving a 6-sp SS.

I find it funny that the V6 Camaro will have the same HP as a V8 Mustang

A standard Mustang GT will eat the V6 Camaro for lunch in a strait line. The Camaro is heavier and the V6 wont have the power band of the Mustang.

Although, all that the public will see is matching peak 300hp numbers for both cars which is bad for news Ford. Wouldn't be surprised if the GT get a power bump next year.

I expect to see a 400hp v-8 available for the 2010 refresh. No way Ford won't answer Chevy's 422hp SS. That rivalry goes back alot of years.
