Simple answer the power on the 8 sucks. The 8 may look nicer but that's only part of the equation. Some people like the feeling of 360+HP. Most driving on the street caters to straightline cars so the G8 trumps the 8 there. **** even at a track like Road America the G8 will take the 8.

幹他媽!
u know... i saw one of these in red on the road the other day. and, it does look much nicer in person. it looks like a bmw clone from some angles, and that's not too shabby.

Anyone who hasn't been in a G8 would be blown away by the torque, the brakes and the rigidity of the body.
The boys down under from Holden know their ****. That's damn skippy.

i'll admit i've had my eye on the ST version (maybe i'm a freak) but it does seem like a good compromise to meet my specific needs/wants. only problem is, it is still a ways off (1 year?) if it was out today i'd seriously consider a lease. In the meanwhile I might get a conventional small pickup which would cancel a good bit of the justification.

A friend of mine just chose a IS350 over a g8.The IS350 was certified used and still had a longer warranty. He said "If Im going to drag around 500lbs I want more features not less". The Is had homelink/auto dimm, cooled seats, good leather, hid headlights, paddle shifters, backup camera, sunroof, and many other nice features the g8 did not have.
yes it was used but when you have 30k to spend why would you waste it on a fat pig like the g8.

A new G8 GT starts at $29,900. A new IS350 starts at $36,300... How about we compare a G8 GXP when it comes out and it's under $36K fully loaded? A G8 GXP will kick the living sh*t out of an IS350 in every performance category. I'll guarantee it. Believe me?
