Pontiac commercial
Have any of you seen the Pontiac commercial that shows a Mitsubishi Lancer (I think) driving down the road and says "Now what would posess a man to drive a car like that?" I think it's hilarious, because I have the same exact thoughts about the Lancer and also the Suburu WRX. Sure, those are fast cars, but they are ugly as sin!

Concur. Who cares about performance when your car's design is the laughing stock of every .... better yet, there's already enough fuel here. I wanted to like the EVO sooo much while car shopping but for the life of me couldn't keep from asking myself, "what the hell is that airplaine wing for again?"

Evo's and STI's may not be the best looking cars in the world, but either of them will outperform by a wide margin any production pontiac ever made. Pontiac also doesn't have too much to brag about in the exterior design department themselves.

I shouldn't say this but I really like the wrx's, not so much stock but they look really badass with all the available aftermarket goodies. I cant wait to see what RB is cooking up for the 8 (body kit). I just got back from HIN inorlando, and there was an Evo there that was hooooot. But the car that stole the show was a FD. OMG!

Yeah Pontiac can't make much of a claim when it comes to styling, but in my opinion it doesn't get much worse than the Lancer or WRX. Why can't they put some better sheet metal on these platforms? Imagine how popular those cars would be with some aggressive styling.

Watch out for the new Pontiac G6 sedan, coupe and convertible. I think they are on part with Japanese styling.
On WRX and EVO, I think EVO deserves more than it gets. I personally think it looks fine, has out of this world performance, and has seating for 4-5. That's amazing for $35k. RX8 is nice but the straight line performance leaves more to be desired.

Amen to that Paulie, those cars (STi's and EVO's) styling and big wings, although not my favorite feature, come direct from their rallying roots. When Pontiac, or GM for that matter, builds a car with the kind of all around performance for the cost, I will pay attention to their commercials. Both cars are also useful sedans that if I wasn't a rotorhead I would be proud to smoke almost every production vehicle on the road in.
